RouteSmart Technologies, a leader in vehicle route optimization software technology, is seeking a Senior Marketing Analyst to join our marketing team. This role reports directly to the VP of Marketing and is responsible for driving strategic marketing intelligence, competitive insights, and high-impact growth initiatives that strengthen RouteSmartâs market positioning, inform go-to-market strategy, and enhance sales effectiveness and commercial performance.
This position plays a key role in transforming market, customer, and competitive data into actionable insights that inform decision-making across marketing, sales, product management, and leadership teams. Â
This role directly impacts RouteSmartâs growth by shaping how we compete, differentiate, and win in the market. As we expand into new markets and evolve our offerings, this position plays a critical role in ensuring decisions are grounded in real market dynamics and executed with clarity and confidence.Â
The ideal candidate is analytical, proactive, and results-driven, with experience in logistics, transportation, fleet management, or route optimization preferred. Success in this role is measured by tangible business impact through enabling sales teams with actionable competitive insights, improving win rates, strengthening market differentiation, and providing leadership with data-driven market intelligence to support strategic decision-making.
The typical base pay range for this position at the start of employment is expected to be between $100,000â$140,000 per year. RouteSmart Technologies, Inc. has different base pay ranges for different work locations within the U.S., and base pay will vary based on experience.Â
This role offers flexibility as either a hybrid or fully remote position. Candidates must reside in one of the following states: Maryland, New York, Pennsylvania, Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Minnesota, New Jersey, North Carolina, Oregon, South Carolina, or Washington. Candidates located within 50 miles of our Melville, NY or Columbia, MD offices may work in a hybrid capacity with regular onsite collaboration.Â
Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesÂ
- Analyze competitors, market trends, customer needs, and industry dynamics to identify risks and opportunitiesÂ
- Translate market insights into clear, actionable recommendations that shape go-to-market strategy and business prioritiesÂ
- Build and maintain a structured, comprehensive view of the competitive landscapeÂ
- Develop high-impact sales enablement tools, including battlecards, objection handling guidance, and positioning supportÂ
- Monitor competitor activity (product changes, pricing, partnerships, and market moves) and assess business implicationsÂ
- Support market expansion efforts, including new industries, segments, and offeringsÂ
- Partner with product marketing to refine differentiation, positioning, and messaging to ensure competitiveness in the marketÂ
- Equip sales teams with actionable insights to improve performance in competitive dealsÂ
- Contribute to win/loss analysis and ensure insights are applied to improve future outcomesÂ
- Support high-value or strategic deals where competitive dynamics are criticalÂ
- Provide leadership with clear, data-driven perspectives on market opportunities and strategic directionÂ
- Help prioritize markets, segments, and investments based on evidence and market insightsÂ
- Lead planning and execution of trade shows, conferences, webinars, and company-sponsored eventsÂ
- Manage timelines, logistics, vendor coordination, and budget tracking for marketing programs and eventsÂ
- Evaluate the effectiveness of marketing campaigns, events, and investmentsÂ
- Present findings, insights, and recommendations to cross-functional stakeholdersÂ
- Mentor junior team members and contribute to process improvements and operational consistencyÂ
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assignedÂ
- 5â10 years of experience in competitive intelligence, product marketing, strategy, or a related fieldÂ
- Experience supporting B2B sales environments with complex, multi-stakeholder deal cyclesÂ
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills with the ability to turn insight into actionÂ
- Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authorityÂ
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex conceptsÂ
- Bias toward practical, results-oriented output over theoretical analysisÂ
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and operate effectively in a fast-paced environmentÂ
- Willingness to travel approximately 20â30% for events, customer engagement, and market intelligence gatheringÂ

Education & ExperienceÂ
- Bachelorâs degree in Marketing, Business, Strategy, Analytics, or a related field (or equivalent experience). . A combination of education and relevant professional experience equivalent to a four-year degree.
- Masterâs degree in a related field preferred
- Experience supporting complex B2B sales environments and go-to-market strategies
- Industry experience in one or more of the following areas is preferred:
- Logistics, transportation, or fleet operationsÂ
- Route planning, optimization, telematics, or vehicle trackingÂ
- Field-service or enterprise mobile applications
- Operations analytics or decision-support systemsÂ
- Familiarity with industries such as utilities, public sector, waste & recycling, or last-mile delivery is a plusÂ
