Working with Richardson opens the door to a world of possibility.  We currently have an opportunity for aJanitorat ourPortage la Prairie, Manitoba location.  Reporting to the QA Supervisor, the Janitor position is responsible for the cleanliness and sanitation of common areas through the pro-active inspection and thorough cleaning of the facility.

Responsibilities:

• Cleaning and supply of the office, restrooms, break rooms, common areas, etc.
• Monitor and report plant conditions and issues
• Accurate completion of all documentation
• Operates in accordance with all food safety policies and procedures
• Operates in accordance with all health, safety and fire prevention regulations and practices

Qualifications:

• Grade 12 or equivalent
• Ability to work in a processing environment and adverse conditions (confined spaces, heights, hot environments)
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; planning and organizational skills
• Physically capable of lifting (up to 50 lbs)
• Ability to effectively wear respiratory protection
• Ability to work overtime including evenings and week-ends may be required
• Proficiency with computers
• Experience with floor buffing, waxing is an asset
