Job Title:Executive Assistant

Location: South Africa

Job Type: Full-Time, Remote

Working Hours: US Hours (9am-5pm CST)

Salary: South African Rand (ZAR)

About the Role

A highly organised, proactive, and operationally minded Executive Assistant is sought to support a fast-paced leadership environment within a growing operational team.

This role is far more than traditional diary management. The successful candidate will act as a true right-hand support function, assisting with operational coordination, ticket tracking, communication flow, follow-ups, onboarding coordination, and workflow management.

The ideal candidate is highly organised, tech-savvy, proactive, detail-oriented, and able to “read the room” while managing multiple moving priorities with professionalism and urgency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day executive and operational support
  • Manage and track tickets, tasks, and workflow progress
  • Coordinate communication between internal teams and onboarding specialists
  • Follow up proactively on outstanding items and deadlines
  • Assist with inbox and communication management
  • Monitor operational workflows and escalate issues where needed
  • Maintain organised records, notes, and task tracking systems
  • Support scheduling, coordination, and administrative processes
  • Provide regular updates and status communication proactively
  • Assist leadership with operational follow-through and organisation
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in an executive assistant or similar role.
  • Previous experience as an Executive Assistant, Senior Administrator, or similar role
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
  • High attention to detail and accountability
  • Highly proactive with strong follow-through
  • Comfortable asking clarifying questions and taking initiative
  • Strong attention to detail and operational accuracy
  • Tech-savvy with strong computer literacy
  • Experience using Outlook, ticketing systems, or workflow systems preferred
  • Ability to manage multiple moving priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Comfortable working independently in a remote setting
