What Youโll Do
As Restaurant Supervisor, you will help lead the daily operation of our restaurant, Bull Durham Bar, and in-room dining services while supporting a positive, professional, and service-focused environment.
Key responsibilities include:
Provide hands-on leadership and visible floor supervision throughout restaurant, bar, and in-room dining operations.
Ensure guests receive warm, attentive, and efficient service while quickly addressing questions or service concerns.
Support the Restaurant Manager and Food & Beverage leadership team with daily operational needs.
Coach, train, and develop team members to consistently meet our service and performance standards.
Help create an engaged and accountable team environment through clear communication, feedback, and recognition.
Assist with scheduling and staffing to support business levels and operational needs.
Ensure team members are knowledgeable about menu offerings, service standards, hotel procedures, and guest expectations.
Support efforts to maximize revenue by identifying opportunities to enhance the guest experience and increase food and beverage sales.
Assist with maintaining departmental procedures, service standards, and training materials.
Promote a safe, clean, organized, and professional work environment.
Support hotel sustainability, recycling, and workplace safety initiatives.
Serve as a role model by consistently demonstrating professionalism, reliability, teamwork, and genuine hospitality.
Qualifications
What You Bring to the Table
At least one year of restaurant or food and beverage experience; experience in an upscale, fine-dining, or hotel environment is preferred.
Previous supervisory, lead, or demonstrated leadership experience strongly preferred.
High school diploma or equivalent preferred; a combination of relevant education and hospitality experience will be considered.
Working knowledge of wine, spirits, and alcoholic beverage service preferred.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to coach, motivate, train, and support team members while maintaining appropriate accountability.
A hands-on leadership style and willingness to step in wherever needed.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
A genuine commitment to exceptional guest service and hospitality.
Flexibility to work a varied schedule, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays based on business needs.
Physical Requirements
This position is active and requires significant time standing and walking throughout the shift. Team members must also be able to:
Frequently bend, reach, lift, and carry items associated with restaurant operations.
Frequently lift or carry items weighing up to 10 pounds.
Occasionally lift or move items weighing up to 30 pounds.
Perform the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation.
