As Restaurant Manager, you will uphold the high service standards and promote salesmanship in Disney Cruise Line's restaurants. 

You will report to the Manager of Food and Beverage Services 

Responsibilities

  • Ensure service standards within restaurant
  • Actively work to achieve higher service standards including identify unsatisfied Guests and perform Guest Service Recovery as needed
  • Responsible for the training & development in partnership with Service Excellence Leader
  • Handle and deliver all Guest special requests/ dietary needs/ allergy requests within Dining Room/ section
  • Coordinate restaurant table reservations focusing on Guest Satisfaction and balance between service teams
  • Create an open, inclusive work environment by displaying Disney Cruise Line leadership in every day decisions and actions
  • Enhance Crew moral and capacity to deal with high Guest volume and changing external circumstances
  • Coordinate team schedules and organize cross utilization of staff
  • Ensure show readiness of Dining Rooms at all times- in terms of cleanliness and maintenance
  • Manage all meal periods with the same dedication and focus in all F&B venues
  • Ensure all service related working procedures are in compliance with USPH standards
  • Inspect the Restaurant prior to opening and closing to ensure compliance with Disney Cruise Line and USPH standards
  • Periodically review sanitation discrepancies and improvements in the restaurant
  • Ensure Dining team follow SMS procedures in all areas of the operation i.e. safety related and allergy procedures
  • Facilitate department meetings and regular 1:1 meetings with all Crew in your team
  • Spot check inventories and supplies for correctness and accurate storage
  • Identify areas of accident prevention and related training
  • Promote salesmanship and monitor that all suggestive selling techniques are being used by their service team

Basic Qualifications

  • Minimum three years management experience in a fast paced high volume restaurant (150+ covers per meal period)
  • Previous experience in supervising a multinational team of 45+ team members
  • Good knowledge of food and beverage trends
  • Proficient in wine knowledge and Food and Wine pairing
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to interact with Guests of all ages
  • Proficiency with POS systems

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ship experience preferred
  • Formal Hospitality training or Hotel school preferred

Your Responsibilities:

  • Have a valid passport and C1/D Seaman's visa (DCL will provide you with documents to obtain this)
  • Complete a pre-employment medical
  • Obtain a criminal background check
  • Bring approved work shoes
