About the Role

We are seeking a visionary and technically strongSr. Manager/Director of Robotics Architect teamto define, develop, and lead advanced semiconductor-based system solutions for next-generationrobotics applications. In this role, you will shape system architectures that address the evolving needs of intelligent robotic systems acrossindustrial automation, mobile robots, collaborative robots (cobots), humanoids, and other autonomous platforms.

Working at the intersection ofmarket needs, customer applications, andproduct engineering, you will ensure our semiconductor technologies deliver optimized performance, real-time capabilities, safety, and system-level integration for advanced robotic platforms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and architect system-level solutions for robotic applications—includinghumanoids,AMRs,cobots, andindustrial robots—usingMCUs, SoCs, power ICs, sensors, actuators, andconnectivity components.
  • Translate robotics-specific needs (e.g., motion control, perception, autonomy, safety) into system requirements and contribute toproduct definitions andtechnology roadmaps.
  • Align withProduct Groups (PGs) and collaborate cross-functionally with solution marketing, application engineering, and R&D to ensure system consistency and customer value.
  • SpecifyHW/SW partitioning,sensor fusion,motor and servo control strategies,real-time communication protocols, andpower management.
  • Developsolution specifications, system requirement documents (SRDs), simulations, and reference designs tailored to robotic system architectures.
  • Performsystem-level modeling and simulation using tools such asSimulink, PLECS, SPICE, andthermal/magnetic analysis as applicable.
  • Lead or supportcustomer engagements,co-development projects, and advancedrobotics proof-of-concept (PoC) initiatives.
  • Ensure adherence torobotics-relevant standards, includingfunctional safety,real-time control, anddiagnostics.
  • Track robotics technology trends (e.g.,collaborative robotics, humanoid mobility,AI at the edge,ROS 2) and integrate relevant insights into solution strategies.
  • Develop and maintainapplication roadmaps aligned withcustomer problems, robotics market trends, andPG strategies.
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners to evaluatetechnology fit and developreference use cases.
  • Organizeinternal trainings and knowledge-sharing sessions focused on robotics systems and emerging technologies.
  • Engage withstartups, research institutes, androbotics ecosystems to explore emerging requirements, co-develop prototypes, and influence future product directions.

    • Master’s or Ph.D. inElectrical Engineering,Mechatronics,Robotics, or a related field.
    • 12+ years of experience in embedded systems or semiconductor-based solution development, with astrong focus on robotics applications.
    • Proven experience insystem architecture, motion control, sensor integration, andembedded design for robotics platforms—preferably includinghumanoids or highly dynamic autonomous systems.
    • Deep understanding ofreal-time control,motor drives,robotic communication protocols (e.g., EtherCAT, CANopen, ROS 2, TSN), andsafety standards (e.g., IEC 61508, ISO 13849).
    • Proficient in system modeling tools such asMATLAB/Simulink,PLECS, or equivalent.
    • Familiarity withRTOS,robotics middleware (e.g., ROS/ROS 2),firmware architecture, andAI/ML integration at the edge.
    • Excellent communication skills and ability to interface with customers, business leaders, and multidisciplinary technical teams.

    Nice to Have

    • Experience withhumanoid robots,AI-enhanced robotics, visual SLAM, orsensor fusion algorithms.
    • Background indigital twin modeling,real-time simulation, orcyber-physical systems.
    • Hands-on experience withrobotics platforms, development kits, orprototyping frameworks.

    What We Offer

    • Opportunity to leadcutting-edge robotics system development, including work onhumanoid and next-gen autonomous platforms.
    • A collaborative and dynamic environment where your architecture decisions shape real-world robotic systems.
    • Flat hierarchies, strong technical ownership, and global visibility.
    • Competitive compensation, flexible working arrangements, and international development opportunities.
