Role overview
Remote Recruitment is hiring an IT Helpdesk Agent to support the staff of a UK-based employer as part of a fully remote team. You will be the first point of contact for technical issues, helping people get back to work quickly and calmly. This is a 100% remote role for South African talent, working UK business hours (09:00ā17:00 UK time / 11:00ā19:00 SAST).
Key responsibilities
- Respond to first-line IT support requests by chat, email and phone
- Troubleshoot common hardware, software and account issues
- Log tickets and track them through to resolution
- Guide users through fixes in clear, plain language
- Escalate complex problems to senior engineers
What you'll need
- Experience with IT support or helpdesk work
- Familiarity with Windows, Microsoft 365 and ticketing tools
- Patience and clear communication with non-technical users
- Good written and spoken English
- A quiet home workspace with reliable internet
