Position Summary
As a pharmacytechnician, you willbe responsible for many aspects of the mail order prescription process. You may be assigned towork in all areas of the dispensing pharmacy including product selection,packing and shipping. Tech L1, Dispensing team members are expected to perform any of the followingfunctions: manual filling and packing, fill medications for automated machines, Quality Samplingof medications from automatedmachine, packing orders using automated packing machinery. As a Tech L1 you may be asked tosupport the shipping handlerfunctions such as manually metering packagesand placement of packagesto be sorted for shipment.
Asa Pharmacy Technician, youmustpossess basic computerproficiency and be able tolift up to 40 pounds. This position requires standing throughout the entire shift. Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential for effective interaction across all levels of staff.
Success in this role also depends ondemonstrating a high degree of reliability, professionalism, problem-solving ability, and a collaborative team-oriented mindset.
We're looking for applicants to be available for the shift listed below:
Monday, Wednesday - Friday 6:15a-2:45p, Saturday 7:30a-2:45p, and OFF Tuesday
Required Qualifications
Obtainan Illinois Pharmacy Technician License
License Requirement: must complete IL Certification Requirements within 2 years from the dateyour license was issued, which includes: 1) Passing theCPhT exam and 2) Backend Technician Training Program
Responsibility ofmaintaining licensure and compliance training
Flexibility to perform duties across multiple functional areas.
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to:
- Read andcomprehend English
- Perform basic math (including dosage and days’ supply calculations)
Physical ability to:
- Stand for extended periods
- Reach, twist, bend, stoop, walk, andlift up to 40lbs
Details focused and task orientated.
Regular and predictable attendance
Colleague willbe required to work mandatory overtime/extended work week when needed
Demonstrated ability to adapt quickly to new processes, technologies, and workflow changes
Preferred Qualifications
Formal Pharmacy Technician training or Pharmacy Tech experience
Experience working in a Mail Order Pharmacy
Certified Pharmacy Technician prior to 2024
EducationVerifiable high school diploma or GEDrequired

The typical pay range for this role is:
$17.00 - $31.30This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
