Hotel Overview:

Located in the heart of downtown Fairmont New Orleans will be an impressive new addition to Fairmont’s luxury portfolio, offering 250 luxury guest rooms, four food & drink venues, a rooftop pool with expansive views of the city, more than 19,000 square feet of function space, and a 10,000 square-foot spa.

This property is destined to become an illustrious destination in the Central Business District, nearby the city’s renowned and historic French Quarter.

  • Provide warm, friendly, and professional service to hotel colleagues using the Staff Dining Room. 
  • Maintain the Staff Dining Room, buffet, beverage stations, tables, chairs, and service areas in a clean and organized condition. 
  • Assist with opening and closing procedures for the Staff Dining Room. 
  • Set up buffet stations, dining areas, utensils, condiments, beverages, and other required service items. 
  • Replenish food and beverage items throughout meal periods while maintaining proper presentation and cleanliness. 
  • Monitor buffet presentation and communicate low or depleted items to Culinary colleagues. 
  • Ensure food is presented according to established standards and procedures. 
  • Maintain appropriate temperatures and follow food safety procedures as directed. 
  • Clear used plates, trays, utensils, cups, and other items from tables and dining areas. 
  • Clean and reset tables throughout service periods. 
  • Empty garbage and recycling and maintain appropriate waste disposal procedures. 
  • Clean and sanitize tables, chairs, counters, beverage stations, buffet equipment, and other assigned areas. 
  • Maintain cleanliness of floors and other Staff Dining areas throughout the day. 
  • Restock utensils, napkins, condiments, cups, beverages, and other supplies. 
  • Assist Culinary and Stewarding teams with transporting food, dishware, and supplies as required. 
  • Maintain appropriate inventory levels and communicate shortages to leadership. 
  • Assist with special colleague meals, hotel events, celebrations, and other colleague engagement activities. 
  • Respond to colleague questions and requests in a friendly and professional manner. 
  • Communicate maintenance, cleanliness, safety, or equipment concerns promptly to the appropriate department. 
  • Follow all food safety, sanitation, hygiene, and workplace safety procedures. 
  • Maintain proper personal hygiene and professional appearance in accordance with hotel standards. 
  • Support Fairmont New Orleans colleague engagement initiatives by helping create a welcoming and positive dining environment. 
  • Maintain respectful and professional relationships with colleagues across all departments. 
  • Follow all departmental SOPs and Fairmont New Orleans policies. 
  • Perform additional duties as assigned. 
  • Previous food service, restaurant, cafeteria, hotel, banquet, or hospitality experience preferred. 
  • Previous experience in a high-volume food service environment is an asset. 
  • Food safety certification required or ability to obtain in accordance with applicable Louisiana requirements. 
  • Strong attention to cleanliness, organization, and presentation. 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 
  • Friendly, approachable, and service-oriented personality. 
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. 
  • Reliable, responsible, and punctual. 
  • Ability to maintain a positive and professional attitude throughout the shift. 
  • Ability to follow food safety, sanitation, and departmental procedures consistently. 
  • Ability to work flexible schedules including mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended shifts as operationally required. 
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
