Job Overview
TheDataStewardwillcollaborate on the design and implementation ofdata governance and quality solutions, ensuring alignment with businessobjectives, value streams, and maximizing long-term technology investment, to ensure compliance withproject requirements.TheData Steward will work closely withBusinessSponsors,BusinessData Owners and Stewards, Business and Technicalsubject matter experts,Enterprise Architects, and Technology leaders toimplement data quality checksand capture business process knowledgebased on Data Governance standards andprocesses, while contributing to the overalldataroadmap.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform all responsibilitiesin accordance with Competencies, compliance, regulatory and Information Protection requirements.
Create data profiling methods that can be applied tovariety of data structures and beleveraged by data analysts,businessstewards andsubject matter experts for self-service data profiling.
Build data profilesandidentify insights from the profiles.Reviewprofiles withproject leaders, data quality and governance analysts, business data stewards, and technology subject matter experts.
Creating andmaintaining data quality metrics fordata assets based on the business rules coordinated by Project Managers and Project Data SMEs.
Create andmaintain data quality monitoring ofidentified data quality metrics fordataassets. Work closely with Business Data Stewards, Data Quality Analysts, Project Data SMEs toidentify the best frequency for measuring quality.
Assist withmaintaining a centralized DGO dashboard summarizing the status of data governance and data quality for data assets.
Design data quality remediation procedures and scripts in partnerships with businessunit’s functional areas, and the Technology department to ensure that data quality issues are implemented in source systems.
Identify and classify PII or Restricted data in the Data Governance Tool and follow the Personally Identifiable Information PII Data Inventory Standard.
Identify Data Owner(s) andSteward(s) of data areas.
Database column level documentation of all data that is created or stored in the system is required andif does not exist there should be a plan to create. Minimum requires data element name, technical name, location of element in database and application, definition, data type, and sample data.
Identify and log Critical Data Elements (CDEs) in the data governance tool with business definition and technical metadata.
Document column level lineage with transformation logic mapped in the Data Governance Tool.
Collaborate with Data Owners, Business Data Stewards, Data Governance and Quality Analysts, Business and Tech SMEs to ensureproper retention practices are followedin accordance with the Data Purging Standard.
Demonstrate the DGO operating model to Business Data Stewards and data community to enable them to implement data governance and quality practices in a self-service manner.
Deliver training and answer questions from Business Data Stewardsof functionality ofdata governance relatedtools andproperusage.
Partner with vendors and the Technology department to build source system integrations,participate in thetimely implementation of patches and upgrades lead by Technology, coordinate system and user-acceptance testing, and drive the resolution of system issues for DGO-owned platforms.

QUALIFICATIONS
Ability to work the hours of 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Pacific Time
5yearsdata quality developmentexperiencerequired
3yearsdata governance experience required
Experience withdata management tools required (Informatica, Collibra, Purview, etc.)
Proficient writing and reading SQL
Experienceworking withrelational SQL databases (Oracle, MS SQL)
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to lead initiatives/small projects
Strong understanding of data quality and governance frameworks
Experiencewith metric driven data governance
Strong analytical, conceptual andproblem solving skills with a proventrack record in gathering and documenting comprehensive business requirements in a highly regulated environment
Familiarity with developing and performing data manipulation, data cleansing, data analysis, and data anomalies detection preferred
Pay:
The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Fractal, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is: $120,000 to $130,000. In addition, for the current performance period, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus.

As a full-time employee of the company or as an hourly employee working more than 30 hours per week, you will be eligible to participate in the health, dental, vision, life insurance, and disability plans in accordance with the plan documents, which may be amended from time to time. You will be eligible for benefits on the first day of employment with the Company. In addition, you are eligible to participate in the Company 401(k) Plan after 30 days of employment, in accordance with the applicable plan terms. The Company provides for 11 paid holidays and 12 weeks of Parental Leave. We also follow a “free time” PTO policy, allowing you the flexibility to take time needed for either sick time or vacation.
