Your Role:

Developing and applyingcomputational models, mainly inelectromagnetics (e.g. RF, EMC) and selectively acrossthermal, structural, and CFD domains, to guide MRI hardware R&D decisions.

  • Translatingsystem-and subsystem-level requirements into appropriate mathematical and computational models with the right level of fidelity
  • Evaluatingperformance, safety, and reliability aspects through simulation and clearly communicating results and limitations
  • Performingconcept, feasibility, and tradeoff studies to guide design choices and technology development
  • Ensuringmodel credibility, documentation, and traceability in line with internal standards and regulatory expectations
  • Supportingsystemlevel insight by integrating models across multiple physics and engineering domains
  • Planning and prioritizing modelling activities, estimating effort, and reporting progress to stakeholders
  • Collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure modelling results areactionable and aligned with project needs
  • Staying up to date withadvancements in modelling methods, simulation tools, and medical imaging technology
  • Mentoring junior engineers and contributing to thecapability growth of the HW Modelling team

You Are a Great Fit If:

  • AMaster’s degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Applied Physics, Biomedical Engineering, or a related discipline
  • Should have5+ years ofindustry experiencein relevant areas.
  • Strong hands-on experience withcommercial simulation tools (e.g.Ansys, CST, Sim4Life, COMSOL, MATLAB Simscape/Simulink)
  • Programming experience inMATLAB and/or Python for model development, automation, and analysis (C/C++ is a plus)
  • Experience inmedical technology, preferablyMR R&D or a closely related domain
  • A solid foundation inmechatronics, applied mathematics and physics, with the ability to understand, explain, and validate the underlying assumptions and limitations of simulation models
  • Demonstratedresearch mindset, such as publications, workflow improvements, or new modelling techniques

You will stand out if you also have:

  • Proven ability totranslate complex system-level challengesinto computational and mathematical models
  • Familiarity withAI- or data-enabled modelling approaches, including surrogate or reduced-order models
  • Experience working inmultidisciplinary, global R&D environments, engaging effectively with engineers, scientists, and stakeholders
  • A proactive, innovative mindset with the ability to workindependently while contributing strongly to team objectives
  • Hands-on experience withRF transmit/receive coils and birdcage resonatorsor other MRI components

How we work together:
We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week.

  • Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company’s facilities. 
  • Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company’s main facilities, generally at the customers’ or suppliers’ locations.
  • This role is an office-based role.
