Senior Software Engineer - RSC

About the role

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be responsible for working with cross-functional teams, including Product Owners, Designers, and Quality Assurance Engineers, to conceptualize, develop, and deploy software features that meet customer needs.

What you'll do

• Design, develop, and maintain high-performance backend and frontend services using NodeJS, Python and ReactJS

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including designers, product managers, and other engineers, to deliver high-quality software solutions.

• Architect and implement new features and services that meet business requirements.

• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code adhering to best practices and industry standards.

• Lead code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and mentor junior developers to enhance the team’s capabilities.

• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve performance bottlenecks and other backend issues.

• Stay current with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices, particularly in NodeJS and ReactJS.

• Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability while ensuring security and data protection standards.

• Contribute to the improvement of the development process, including continuous integration and deployment strategies.

• Work closely with Customer Support and QA teams to investigate and resolve customer-reported incidents, bugs, and requests in a timely and professional manner.

• Utilize AI tools (e.g., code assistants, automated testing, log analyzers) to streamline development tasks and routine operations.

• Demonstrate strong communication and collaboration skills, participating actively in team discussions, planning sessions, and retrospectives.

Qualifications

• Deep understanding of how to build high-performance, decoupled, testable, maintainable code 

• Experience facing the challenges of building software as a service, including designing architecture and maintaining software at scale 

• 6+ years of experience in web application development

• Expertise in backend development using NodeJS, and SQL databases; experience with GraphQL is a plus

• In-depth understanding of software development and design principles (DRY, KISS, SOLID) 

• Excellent Javascript/NodeJS skills Experience in UI/UX development 

• Proficiency in working with React; experience with React Hooks is a plus 

• Experience with Google Cloud Platform services is a plus 

• Good English communication skills 

• Good organizational skills and attention to detail 

• Good problem-solving skills 

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills 

• Good leadership skills for projects and initiatives
