Senior PV / BESS engineer

- You will be responsible for the technical design and engineering of utility-scale photovoltaic (PV) and battery energy storage system (BESS) projects throughout all project phases
- You will assess project sites, evaluate technical constraints, and develop optimized plant concepts and layouts
- You will prepare and review technical design packages, including layouts, cable sizing, single-line diagrams, and other engineering documentation for PV and BESS projects
- You will perform energy yield assessments and performance simulations using PVsyst to support the technical and commercial optimization of our projects
- You will participate in site visits, assess technical risks, and prepare technical evaluations and reports
- You will serve as a key technical point of contact for internal teams as well as external consultants, advisors, and business partners
- You will support technical due diligence processes and participate in technical discussions and negotiations with external stakeholders
- You will work closely with our Development, Project Management, Construction, and Engineering teams to successfully deliver projects into the construction phase
- You will provide technical guidance to engineering colleagues and help ensure the quality and consistency of our engineering deliverables
- You hold a degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy Engineering, or a comparable field of study
- You have at least five years of professional experience in the design and engineering of utility-scale photovoltaic power plants
- Ideally, you also bring experience with Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS)
- You possess a strong understanding of the technical and commercial aspects of solar and energy storage projects
- You have in-depth knowledge of PV modules, inverters, transformers, cable systems, as well as medium- and high-voltage equipment
- You have experience preparing technical designs, energy yield assessments, and engineering documentation
- You are proficient in PVsyst, AutoCAD, PVcase, QGIS, or similar engineering and design software
- You work in a structured, independent, and solution-oriented manner and are capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously
- You stand out through your analytical mindset, problem-solving skills, and strong communication abilities
- Professional fluency in English is required; German language skills are considered an advantage
