About the Role

As a Senior .NET Engineer at CodeRoad, you will serve as the technical backbone of our backend engineering initiatives within a high-performing Agile Scrum POD. You will anchor the full server-side software development lifecycle, architecting robust microservices, high-throughput RESTful Web APIs, and scalable backend infrastructure. Working directly alongside Architects, Product Owners, and Database Administrators, you will take high-level architecture vision and convert it into clean, maintainable, and high-performance .NET solutions.

This role is critical to modernizing, scaling, and maintaining core business logic and backend services for enterprise systems. By owning service architecture end-to-end—from data access optimization and API design to asynchronous messaging and automated CI/CD deployments—you will ensure the highest standards of system reliability, code quality, and engineering excellence across our engineering team.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect and develop enterprise-grade, multi-tier backend services and web APIs using.NET,C#,ASP.NET WebAPI, andOWIN.

• Optimize and scale complex data layers, ORM integrations, and relational database systems usingMS SQL Server,NHibernate, andDapper.

• Lead technical research alongside Solution Architects to establish backend patterns, evaluate emerging tools, and enforce strict enterprise coding standards.

• Integrate and maintain event-driven messaging pipelines and integration protocols utilizingAzure Service Bus andRESTful architecture.

• Deliver production-ready features every Sprint through rigorous continuous integration, automated builds (TeamCity,Octopus Deploy), and comprehensiveUnit & Integration Testing withReSharper anddotCover.

• Collaborate actively in a dedicated Scrum environment by refining complex user stories into thin, deliverable backend tasks and conducting thorough peer code reviews.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience specializing in backend .NET software engineering and system architecture for enterprise-level platforms.

• Core Tech Stack Mastery: Advanced knowledge ofC#,.NET Framework / .NET Core,ASP.NET WebAPI, andRESTful Web Services.

• Data & Persistence Expertise: Deep hands-on experience withMS SQL Server, T-SQL optimization, and ORM/Data Access frameworks (NHibernate,Dapper).

• Distributed Messaging & Cloud Services: Proven experience implementing asynchronous messaging patterns usingAzure Service Bus.

• DevOps & Testing Proficiency: Strong background in CI/CD pipelines (TeamCity,Octopus Deploy), version control (Git), automation scripting (PowerShell), and TDD/unit testing methodologies.

• Agile Excellence: Strong background in Scrum methodology with a proven ability to slice complex backend epics into modular, deliverable stories.

• Soft Skills: Exceptional ownership mindset, logical problem-solving skills, and a collaborative, team-first attitude.

• Advanced English: Fluent verbal and written communication skills for direct technical collaboration.

Nice to Have

• Hands-on experience with NoSQL database integration usingMongoDB.

• Familiarity with code quality tools such asdotCover andReSharper for code coverage and static analysis.

• Understanding of microservices architectural patterns and containerization (Docker,Azure Kubernetes Service).

• Knowledge of server-side scripting withNode.js or light configuration management tools.
