Job Description

The Real Estate Group is looking for a motivated individual with fund accounting experience to work on the Finance and Operations team. This position is more than a typical accounting role as the team is also heavily involved in fund operations.

Initial Responsibilities:

  • Monthly and quarterly closing of the books

  • Preparationof financialstatements inaccordance with US GAAP Investment Company Accounting

  • Interact withtheexternalaudit andtaxreporting processes with big 4 firms

  • Compile, analyze and preparefunds’ financial data andoperatingmetrics

  • Credit facility loan administration and compliance

  • Detailed review of expenses, accounts payable and payments for processing

  • Coordinate with banks for foreign currency exchange and derivative transactions

  • Prepare investorreports, capital call and distribution notices

  • Maintain investorcommitments and capital accountstatements

  • Supportmarketingteam with datacollection and ad-hoc requests

  • Assist andcoordinate withotherdepartments in responding to inquiries from investors

  • Calculate managementfee and carried interest in accordance with funds legal documents

  • Assist with providing financial information needed forcompliance and regulatory filings

Requirements:

Thispositionoffers excellentopportunities in adynamic environment.Toqualify, candidatesmusthave:

  • 3-5yearsofexperience, preferably with a CPA

  • Fund administration,accounting or auditexperience preferred with private fund Real Estate or Real Estate Credit experience a plus

  • AdvancedknowledgeofMicrosoft Excel

  • Thorough andmeticulous withextreme focuson details

  • Excellent communication skills, can work effectively with all levels and departments within a complex organization

  • Teamplayer with positive attitude and proactive approach to work

  • Demonstrated leadership ability, a team player with positive attitude and pro-active approach to work

  • Highly organized with the ability to effectively manage multiple funds, competing priorities, and deadlines in a fast-paced environment

  • Experience with Investran a plus

Salary Range: $115,000 - $135,000

Our compensation structure is comprised of a base salary and a short-term incentive program (cash bonus). Cash compensation tends to vary based on geography to account for local market conditions and is set to be market competitive. Compensation decisions are based on a number of factors including relative experience, overall years of experience, industry experience, education and designations.
