Our client, a leading professional services firm in Malta, is currently looking for anSenior Finance Officer to join their dynamic team.In this role, you'll play a hands-on part in the Firm's finance function, working closely with colleagues to keep operations accurate, compliant, and running smoothly.
This is ahybrid roleoffering a salary ofup to €35K.
Role & Responsibilities
Assist in the preparation of documentation related to expense reimbursements
Record financial transactions and maintain supporting documentation
Prepare periodic cheque/cash deposits in line with established procedures
Assist in handling suppliers, and finance queries
Reconcile bank accounts, receivables, payables, and general ledger balances
Process supplier payments
Issue periodic client invoices and account statements per established procedures
Ensure accurate, on-time payments to authorities (VAT, Social Security, Inland Revenue)
Prepare VAT returns and liaise with tax authorities
Prepare and compile monthly management accounts
Education, Skills & Experience
MQF Level 6 qualification in Accounting or Finance (or currently pursuing ACCA)
Minimum 2 years of experience working in finance and/or accounting in Malta
Fluency in English, both written and spoken
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant IT systems
Strong attention to detail and commitment to professional integrity
Ability to work independently and within a team
Proactive approach to problem-solving and meeting deadlines
