Senior DevOps Engineer

KDA Consulting Inc. is seeking a highly skilledDevOps Engineer to support mission-critical programs within the Intelligence Community (IC). This role focuses on designing, implementing, and maintainingCI/CD pipelines, cloud infrastructure, and automated deployment solutions to enable efficient, secure, and scalable software delivery.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience withcontainerization, orchestration (Docker/Kubernetes), and cloud platforms, along with a strong foundation in automation and system reliability.

CI/CD Pipeline Development & Automation

• Design, build, and maintainCI/CD pipelines to support continuous integration and continuous delivery of applications
• Automate build, test, and deployment processes to improve development efficiency and reduce manual intervention
• Integrate security scanning and compliance checks into DevSecOps pipelines

Containerization & Orchestration

• Develop and manage containerized applications usingDocker
• Deploy, manage, and scale applications usingKubernetes or similar orchestration platforms
• Optimize container performance, resource utilization, and scalability

Cloud Infrastructure & Deployment

• Work within cloud environments such asAWS or Azure to deploy and manage infrastructure
• ImplementInfrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation
• Support system modernization efforts by transitioning legacy systems to cloud-native architectures

Monitoring, Logging & System Reliability

• Implement monitoring and alerting solutions using tools such asPrometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, or CloudWatch
• Proactively identify and resolve system performance issues and bottlenecks
• Ensure high availability, reliability, and fault tolerance of deployed systems

Collaboration & Agile Delivery

• Work closely with software developers, system engineers, and security teams to streamline development and deployment processes
• Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives
• Provide technical guidance on DevOps best practices and automation strategies

Active TS/SCI W/ Polygraph Required.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)

Demonstrated experience inDevOps, CI/CD pipeline development, and automation

Hands-on experience withDocker and Kubernetes

Experience working withcloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or similar)

Strong scripting skills in languages such asPython, Bash, or PowerShell

Experience with version control systems such asGit

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
