As aSenior Design Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and improving(electro)mechanical and electronic products within our product categories:
- Fence & Gate Hardware
- Gate Automation
- Hydraulic Gate Closers
- Perimeter Protection & Access Control
This includes:
- Brainstorming concepts, creating CAD designs, developing prototypes, following up on testing, and refining ideas until you have a successful product.
- Discussing products with manufacturers and production teams (DFM, DFA).
- In close collaboration with the Product Manager, taking responsibility for the technical development of the complete product,from concept to first production run (A to Z).
- Taking acreative andefficient approach to transform anidea orconcept into a finished product: sketching concepts, creating detailed technical designs in a 3D CAD environment, performing simulations and tests, and following up on realization together with our in-house prototype department.
- Working closely with fellow design engineers within the project team and actively sharing your expertise and insights. Through yourcoaching mindset and focus oncollaboration, you contribute to the further development of our R&D organization.
- Reporting directly to the R&D Manager.
- You hold a degree in Industrial Engineering (or have acquired an equivalent level through experience) and combine this withat least 10 years of professional experience, including several years in product design.
- You have experience with 3D CAD software, ideally SolidWorks.
- You are a true team player with a positive mindset and a hands-on, can-do attitude.
- Thanks to your strong project management skills, you are able to keep projects on target and within budget while coordinating multiple sub-projects effectively.
- You are fluent in both Dutch and English.
