Senior Database Engineer- Riyadh, KSA

WE are looking for a highly experiencedSenior MS SQL & Oracle Database Engineer to manage and support critical database infrastructure within a banking environment.

The ideal candidate must havestrong banking experience and extensive hands-on expertise inMicrosoft SQL Server and Oracle databases, including on-premises clustering, replication, Disaster Recovery (DR), advanced troubleshooting, and SQL query performance tuning.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer and supportMS SQL Server and Oracle databases in a critical banking environment.
• Manage and maintainon-premises MS SQL and Oracle database clusters.
• Configure and supportdatabase clustering, replication, and DR environments.
• Support database replication between primary production environments andDR sites.
• Troubleshoot complex database availability, performance, and connectivity issues.
• Perform advanced troubleshooting andfine-tuning of MS SQL queries.
• Analyze query execution and identify performance bottlenecks.
• Ensure database environments maintain high availability and operational reliability.
• Support database-related incidents and perform root-cause analysis.
• Work closely with infrastructure, application, network, and other technical teams to resolve database issues.
• Support database maintenance and operational activities in accordance with banking requirements.

• Banking experience – Mandatory.
• 10+ years of total IT experience.
• Minimum7 years of hands-on experience with MS SQL Database and Oracle.
• Strong hands-on experience withMS SQL clustering in on-premises environments.
• Strong hands-on experience withOracle clustering in on-premises environments.
• Hands-on experience withMS SQL and Oracle replication.
• Hands-on experience supportingDR sites and database replication/DR environments.
• Advanced troubleshooting andMS SQL query performance tuning experience.
