Senior Backend Engineer - Checkout (all genders)

• Help envision and work hand-in-hand with other colleagues to develop ascalable software architecture for our API written in PHP
• Work directly with product managers and engineers to translate complex business requirements into clean, idiomatic Go implementations, ensuring features are well-designed and delivered on time
• Champion modern engineering practices, includingTest-Driven Development (TDD), pair programming, andautomated CI/CD pipelines to keep code quality and team velocity high
• Choose technology pragmatically bymatching the right tools to the specific problem, maximizing Go’s concurrency and performance without being rigid or dogmatic
• Take directownership of technical initiativesin a flat engineering culture where your ideas are valued and decision-making paths are exceptionally short
• Mentor fellow developers through code reviews and collaborative sessions, elevating team standards while continuously exploring modern tooling like AI coding assistants

• 5+ years of hands-on experience inbackend engineering, with a strong focus onmodern PHP (8+) and frameworks likeSymfony or Laravel
• Deep experience writingclean, idiomatic Go and leveraging its native concurrency primitives (goroutines, channels) to build high-throughput, low-latency APIs.
• Solid grasp of core engineering principles (SOLID, clean architecture) and distributed system design
• Strong experienceoptimizing data and caching layers usingMySQL(indexing, query tuning) andRedis(caching patterns, data structures)
• Hands-on experience or active interest in usingGenAI tools to streamline development workflows or build modern product features
• Proactive problem solvercapable of tackling complex technical tasks independently from initial design to production deployment
• Collaborative team playerwithstrong English communication skills, dedicated to code quality, peer mentorship, and elevating overall team performance
