Summary of Position Responsibility:
This role will support the development and application of analytical models required to supportGlobal Supply Chain andPurchasingOrganizations in connection with researching, organizing, compiling, analyzing, tracking, and reporting information and data. This position works across the organization as a key contributor to strategy development and execution, Global PurchasingValue Delivery Tracking, Pricetracking and reporting. TheSenior Analyst will focus onDirect and Indirect materialcategory spend analytics, supporting budgeting and standard cost process withtheFinance costing team, data collection, saving initiatives and cost reductions, and Master Data Clean-up and Governance.
This roleis responsible for enhancing current tools which drive efficient work processes and raw materialutilization for our global sourcing operation partners. This is a role which works with multiple cross-functional groups across Velcro Companies including Engineering, Supply chain,Plant Controllers and Costing, Operations,IT and Commercial. This role is critical wheneliminating manualdata manipulation andreporting, driving it toward automated functionality using ERP and other internal analytical information systems software.
Essential Duties and Responsibilitiesinclude the following:
Dashboard Development:
Design, develop, andmaintainpurchasing dashboards to provide visibility intopurchasingperformance and value delivery.
Ensure dashboards are user-friendly and meet the needs of various stakeholders within the GlobalPurchasing,ExecutuveandFinance teams.
Savings Validation:
Collaborate withFinance to validate,trackpurchasing savings, cost avoidance and workingcapitalinitiatives.
Ensure that savings are accurately reported,aligned with organizational financial goals and P&L.
Data Collection and Analysis:
Work withpurchasing teams to collect, clean, and analyze data related topurchasing activities and supplier performance.
Identify trends, opportunities for cost savings, and areas for improvement based on data analysis.
Analyzing key marketsubscriptiondata, statistics, and reports to help deepen the understanding of material cost drivers, performance, industry dynamics, market trends, and best practices.
Ad-hoc analysisas needed byinternalcustomers, such as Executive Leadership (ELT),Purchasing,Finance and Commercial teams.
Standardization:
Coordinate with regionalpurchasing teams to standardize data collection and reporting processes back to the central team.
Develop and implement best practices for tracking and reportingpurchasing savings projects across regions.
Master Data Clean-Up:
Lead the Supplier Master Data (SMD) Team to create andmaintain a single,accurate, and reliable source of information about all Velcrocompany's suppliers.
Create,review and update global strategy,purchasing procedures andguidelines tomaintainaccurate supplier master data within ERP systems.
Train SMD analysts andadditional stakeholders.
Identify, prioritize, and supervise master data clean-up activities.
Ensure consistency, accuracy, and reliability of data used forpurchasing activities and reporting.
Strategic Support:
Supportpurchasing strategic initiatives (Such as Working Capital Improvement, Supplier Risk Management, etc.) by providing data-driven insights and analysis.
Assist in the development ofpurchasing strategies and plans based on data analysis and market trends.
Lead the material budgetand strategic planningprocess, in collaboration with FP&A and Costing.
Reporting:
Generate regular and ad-hoc reports to provide insights intopurchasing performance and value delivery.
Maintain KPI metrics on “the Loop” forcompanywide visibility and self-serve awareness.
Present findings and recommendations to senior management and other stakeholders.
Collaboration:
Work closely with cross-functional teams includingcosting, plant controllers,supply chain,commercial (sales)and regionalpurchasing teams to ensure alignment onpurchasing goals and strategies.
Act as a liaison betweenpurchasing, FP&A and IT to ensure the effective use of data analytics tools and systems.
Knowledge & Experience (Minimum Job Qualifications):
Bachelor’sdegree inEngineering, Supply Chain Management, Financewithfocus onPlanning and Analysis, Business Administration, Data Analytics,or relatedfield.
Minimum of3-5 years of proven experience inpurchasing, dataanalytics orrelatedfield. Experience inaGlobalpurchasing function is a plus.
Proficiency in data analytics tools and software (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Excel Queries). Knowledge of ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) is an advantage.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data andprovide actionable insights.Applying analytical models and principles of data science including data, reporting and process automation and implementation.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present data in a clear and concise manner.
Strongpresentation skills, building operational reports, queries,presentations,and creating charts/visualizations from data.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment and build strong relationships with stakeholdersand customersacross different geographical regions.
High level of accuracy and attention to detail in data analysis and reporting.
Understanding basicfinance statements: P&L, BalanceSheet and Cash Flow
Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
Highly motivated and results oriented.
Preference for a Manchester, NH based position (40% office/60% home office). Possibility for remoteresiding in eastern USwithin commuting distanceof major airport.
