Altius Search Group is partnering with a growing senior living organization to identify an experiencedRegional Director of Memory Care Operations & Programming.
This highly visible corporate leadership role will provide operational and programming support across multiple senior living communities, with a primary focus onmemory care, dementia programming, leadership development, resident engagement, and continuous improvement.
The ideal candidate is a strong multi-site leader who combines deep knowledge of memory care with the ability to coach community-level leaders, evaluate performance, and implement meaningful improvements across a portfolio of communities.
Key Responsibilities
Coach, mentor, and develop Memory Care Directors, Programming Leaders, and community leadership teams across multiple locations.
Serve as a subject-matter expert in memory care operations, dementia care, resident engagement, and person-centered programming.
Conduct onsite community visits, operational assessments, leadership coaching, and program evaluations.
Train community teams on dementia-care best practices and innovative resident-engagement approaches, including Montessori-inspired programming.
Evaluate resident engagement, quality outcomes, staffing models, and overall program effectiveness.
Ensure memory care programming meets organizational standards and applicable state regulations.
Identify performance gaps and develop actionable improvement plans.
Partner closely with Operations, Clinical, Sales, and community leadership to improve resident satisfaction, family engagement, and occupancy.
Provide support during new community openings, leadership transitions, and operational turnarounds.
Stay current on emerging dementia-care research, regulatory changes, and evolving best practices.
Qualifications
Minimum5 years of progressive leadership experience in Memory Care or Dementia Care.
Multi-site, regional, or corporate senior living leadership experience strongly preferred.
Strong understanding of Alzheimer's disease, dementia care, behavior management, and person-centered programming.
Experience implementing Montessori-inspired or comparable resident-engagement models.
Demonstrated ability to coach, mentor, train, and develop community-level leaders.
Strong presentation, facilitation, organizational, and project-management skills.
Ability to evaluate operational performance and translate findings into practical improvement plans.
Comfortable operating independently in a highly visible field-based leadership position.
Education & Credentials
Bachelor's degree inRecreation Therapy, Social Work, Human Services, Nursing, Psychology, Gerontology, or a related discipline preferred.
Professional credentials such asCertified Dementia Practitioner (CDP), CTRS, ADC, or other dementia-care certifications are strongly preferred.
Travel & Location
Remote corporate leadership position.
Must reside within theCentral or Eastern Time Zone.
Up to80% travel, including frequent overnight travel.
Candidates should be comfortable supporting multiple communities across a geographically dispersed portfolio.
