Job Description
Key Responsibilities May Include:
- Implement the Quality Audit program at CHEP-owned and subcontracted plants, aligning with the quality team's objectives.
- Develop and deliver Quality and Compliance Training materials to operations personnel, fostering adherence to quality standards.
- Act as a customer facing representative of Chep in all quality matters, leading resolution of issues through the root cause corrective action process
- Establish and enforce compliance with Quality Best Practices, Standard Procedures, and materials at regional CHEP and 3PL Service Centers.
- Conduct unannounced compliance audits of Service Centers, covering both product and process aspects.
- Support product and process strategies and rollouts to enhance quality standards across operations.
- Assist in product and service failure investigations at CHEP operations, driving resolution and providing coaching where needed.
- Investigate and document field intelligence, focusing on metrics such as AQL, QMS compliance, and damage ratios.
Key Responsibilities May Include:
1) Standards & Specifications
- Coordinate with relevant internal and external stakeholders todefine and issue standards for raw materials and finished products, in alignment withBrambles’ guidelines, sound engineering/scientific principles, applicable Thai regulations, and business operating conditions.
- Maintain a controlledSpecifications Library and ensure timely updates and version control.
2) Training, Communication & Change Management
- Develop documentation (procedures, work instructions, visual aids, training material) and conducttraining for internal and external stakeholders on defined material/product standards including any business related and effective usage principles.
- Lead communication plans and implementation for changes in standards, processes, and inspection criteria; ensure adoption and compliance in field operations and suppliers.
3) Incoming & Final Acceptance (Inspection & Testing)
- Design and implementinspection and acceptance procedures for raw materials and finished products within CHEP Thailand, aligned with Brambles’ guidance and external best practices.
- Establishstatistically sound sampling plans, inspection points, and acceptance criteria; monitorfirst-pass yield and nonconformance trends.
- Lead quarantine process and track issue resolving to resume material and finished products usage
4) Quality Assurance, Control & CAPA
- Monitor quality performance,collect critical data, and driveproblem-solving and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA) with cross-functional teams to reduce the impact of quality issues.
- Participate in resolving or disposition of nonconforming material and products; also lead robustroot-cause analysis (e.g., 8D, Fishbone, 5-Why).
5) Supplier and Service Center Quality Management
- Audit, coach, andcontinuously develop suppliers and service centers to maintain and elevate quality management processes; ensure adherence to defined standards.
- Set and tracksupplier and service centers quality KPIs (e.g., PPM, on-time CAPA, audit scores), and partner with Procurement onclaims and recovery (data-backed).
6) Data, Analytics & Reporting
- Build and maintainmonthly quality KPI dashboards (internal and external),Trend Analysis reports, andSupplier/Service Centers Quality reports.
- Maintain theRisk Register and document quality improvement plans; use analytics to identify patterns, predict risks, and prioritize interventions.
7) Complaint Management (Internal & External)
- Act as theprimary owner to lead, respond and coordinate stakeholders for effective management ofcustomer and internal complaints; ensure timely investigation, communication, and closure.
- Lead and trackcomplaint root causes, corrective actions, and recurrence prevention.
8) Compliance, Regulatory & Audit
- Ensure compliance withlocal regulations, customer requirements, industry standards, and Brambles’ policies.
- Plan and executeinternal audits and support both internal and external certifications
9) Risk Management
- Identify, assess, and maintain mitigation plans forquality risks across the supply chain; keep theRisk Register current.
- Lead proactive risk reviews (e.g., for material variability, process changes, supplier transitions, seasonal effects, customer satisfaction).
10) Continuous Improvement
- Analyze, develop, and proposequality improvement programs across relevant operational factors and appropriate monitoring processes with suppliers and internal teams.
- LeverageLean/Six Sigma tools to reduce waste, improve throughput, and lowerCost of Quality while aligning with Brambles’ sustainability goals.
11) Systems, Documentation & QMS
- Build and evolve quality systems andkeep documentation current, ensuring effectiveness within the function and across interfacing departments.
- Own document control, records retention, anddigitalization opportunities for inspection data, traceability, and reporting.
12) Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Collaborate with Operations, Procurement, Logistics, Customer Service, Engineering, and Commercial teams to embed quality in daily execution and strategic decisions.
- Providequality input to S&OP, supplier selection, product design/changes, and service center processes.
13) Customer Focus
- Oversee the rapid resolution of customer complaints, ensuring the delivery of sustainable, long-term solutions that enhance customer satisfaction.
- Translate the sound voice of the customer into actionable strategies that improve product performance and quality metrics
