Project Resource Coordinator

SUMMARY:
We’re looking for a highly organised and proactive Project Resource Coordinator to join our PMO team and help ensure we have the right people assigned to the right projects and opportunities at the right time.
You’ll work across Sales, Pre-Sales, Engineering, Delivery and PMO, providing visibility of current and future resource requirements and helping us balance project commitments, pipeline demand, team capacity and utilisation.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with data, coordinating across multiple teams and bringing structure to a fast-moving technology consultancy environment.
WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING:
As part of an agile software development team, you will:
- Coordinate resource requirements across customer projects, sales opportunities and internal engineering initiatives.
- Maintain an accurate view of resource availability, allocations, bookings, utilisation and future demand.
- Work closely with Sales, Pre-Sales, Engineering, Delivery Managers and Project Managers to understand upcoming resource requirements.
- Supporting the allocation and redeployment of people across projects and opportunities.
- Consolidating demand forecasts and helping maintain short-, medium- and long-term resource plans.
- Identifying potential capacity constraints, skills gaps and recruitment requirements before they impact delivery.
- Monitoring utilisation and highlighting under-utilised or over-utilised resources.
- Supporting bench management and workforce planning activities.
- Producing regular resource reports, dashboards, forecasts and management information.
- Supporting resource review meetings and escalating resource conflicts or risks where required.
- Helping continuously improve resource-management processes, forecasting accuracy and utilisation.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
- Previous experience in Resource Coordination, PMO, Project Coordination, Workforce Planning, Scheduling or a similar role.
- Experience working across multiple projects, teams and stakeholders simultaneously.
- Strong planning and organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret capacity, utilisation and forecasting data.
- Experience producing reports, forecasts and management information.
- Strong stakeholder-management and communication skills.
- Confidence working with cross-functional teams and competing priorities.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Experience working with resource-planning, PMO or project-management systems.
- A proactive approach, someone comfortable identifying potential problems and taking action rather than waiting for issues to arise.
- A collaborative, commercially aware and customer-focused mindset.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
AWESOME BUT NOT REQUIRED:
- Previous experience within a technology consultancy, professional services or project-based environment.
- Experience with Power BI or similar reporting/dashboard tools.
- Experience supporting resource decisions around recruitment, contractors or workforce development.
- Exposure to resource-management governance, capacity planning or utilisation optimisation.
- Experience improving resource-management processes, reporting or forecasting methodologies.
