The Project Finance Syndication Associate will support the origination, structuring, underwriting, and syndication of project finance transactions across sectors including power, renewables, infrastructure, transportation, telecommunications, and energy transition. The individual will work closely with senior syndication professionals, relationship managers, credit teams, legal counsel, and external investors to successfully arrange and distribute debt facilities.
This role requires strong financial analysis capabilities, excellent communication skills, and an understanding of project finance structures and capital markets. The Associate will play a key role in executing syndicated transactions while helping expand and maintain relationships with lending partners and institutional investors.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the structuring, underwriting, and syndication of project finance transactions.
- Prepare lender presentations, information memoranda, term sheets, and marketing materials for prospective investors.
- Coordinate syndication processes, including lender outreach, due diligence management, and investor communications.
- Support pricing, allocation, and distribution strategies for syndicated loan transactions.
- Monitor market conditions and investor appetite to optimize syndication outcomes.
- Develop and maintain relationships with banks, institutional investors, export credit agencies, development finance institutions, and other market participants.
- Support senior team members in investor meetings and roadshows.
- Maintain lender database and track investor feedback for ongoing transactions.
- Monitor syndicated loan market activity, pricing trends, and comparable transactions.
- Prepare market updates and transaction pipeline reports for management.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
- 2 to 5 years of experience in project finance, leveraged finance, corporate banking, infrastructure finance, investment banking, or loan syndications.
- Strong financial modeling and credit analysis skills.
- Understanding of project finance structures, loan documentation, and debt capital markets.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
- Excellent analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple transactions and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred
- Experience with renewable energy, power, infrastructure, or energy transition transactions.
- Familiarity with syndicated loan distribution and investor marketing processes.
- CFA, CPA, or other relevant professional designation (or progress toward certification).
- Experience interacting with institutional investors and lending groups.
- Series 7, 63 and 79 licences

The typical base pay range for this role is $160K-$247K on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and location. This role may also be eligible for certain discretionary performance-based bonus and/or incentive compensation.
