Role Overview

Operating in a captive set-up, theManager – HR (Workday) will act as afunctional Subject Matter Expert (SME) forTime Tracking and Absence, partnering with global HR, Payroll, and business stakeholders.

This role will be responsible fordesigning, configuring, and optimizing Workday solutions, ensuring compliance, seamless integration, and high-quality delivery across global operations. The individual will also serve as afunctional lead for the Time & Absence workstream, driving governance, best practices, and continuous improvements.

Key Responsibilities

1. Time Tracking & Absence Management

  • Configure and maintainleave types, time off plans, accrual rules, and entitlement policies in Workday

  • Design and implementtime tracking frameworks, including: Time Entry Codes Time Entry Templates Time Calculations and validations

  • Ensure accuratetime capture, approvals, and reporting across geographies

  • Drive enhancements to improveemployee and manager experience

2. Workday Configuration & System Management

  • Analyze, design, and maintain Workday configurations across modules

  • Serve as afunctional lead for Time Tracking & Absence modules

  • Maintain the Workday platform with focus on: Business process configuration Security administration (domain & BP policies) Reporting (simple, advanced, composite, scheduled) Data loads, audits, and system integrity

  • Hands-on experience withEnterprise Interface Builder (EIB) for mass data loads

3. Payroll & Benefits (Good to Have)

  • Support configuration of: Earnings, deductions, and pay components Benefit plans and eligibility rules

  • Ensure seamlessintegration between time tracking, absence, and payroll systems

  • Partner with Payroll teams to ensureaccurate pay outcomes and compliance

4. Compliance & Governance

  • Ensure adherence toglobal payroll regulations, statutory leave policies, and labor laws

  • Align configurations withaudit, compliance, and internal governance standards

  • Drive structuredchange management, regression testing, and release governance

5. Implementation & Delivery

  • Lead/supportend-to-end Workday implementations and enhancements, including: Requirement gathering and solution design Prototyping and stakeholder validation Testing (SIT/UAT) and defect resolution Production deployment and hypercare support

  • Partner with global teams to deliverscalable and standardized HRIT solutions

6. HRIT Functional Expertise

  • Manage and enhance: Business Process Frameworks Security configuration Reporting and analytics Data conversion and migration

  • Providefunctional advisory and recommendbest-in-class Workday practices

7. Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Act as atrusted advisor to HR, Payroll, and leadership teams

  • Communicate effectively across all levels of the organization

  • Collaborate with global teams across time zones (including US support, as needed)

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, IT, Business, or related field

  • 6–8 years of overall experience, withminimum 5+ years in Workday

  • Strong experience inWorkday Time Tracking and Absence, Payroll modules

  • Hands-on experience inWorkday configuration, security, reporting, and EIB (mass loads)

  • Experience inWorkday implementations (end-to-end lifecycle)

  • Strong understanding ofHR processes and HCM modules (Core, Time, Absence)

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience inPayroll and Benefits configuration (Workday or equivalent)

  • Exposure tomulti-country HR operations and compliance frameworks

  • Workday certifications (Time Tracking / Absence / HCM)

  • Experience inWorkday interface support
