JOB SUMMARY 

 

Per Diem StaffPhysician  – Interventional Radiology provides medical care tolarge array of patients by providing minimally invasive image-guided diagnosis and treatment of disease. As assigned by theChairman, thePhysicianwill provide serviceat the following UM/JMH  locations:   Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center,UHealth Tower Hospital, Jackson MemorialHospital,  atsatellite  centers in Browardcounty  (Plantation and Deerfield Beach) and the LennarCenter,  which islocatedin  Coral Gables on the University of Miami campus 

 

CORE JOB FUNCTIONS 

 

  • Interpret interventional radiology imaging studies and perform interventional procedures. 

  • Be responsible for evaluating patients both pre and post intervention  

  • Supervise performance of technical personnel. 

  • Evaluate and consult new referrals and follow up patients in IR clinic. 

  • Exercise quality assurance as related to the practice of interventional imaging. 

  • Provide interventional imaging consultation asrequested. 

  • Provide emergency patient care as required in the setting of an Interventional radiology practice.

COREQUALIFICATIONS 

 

Education: 

Medical Degreefrom an accredited Medical School (or foreign equivalent),  

 

Certification and Licensing: 

Florida Medical License or equivalent 

AmericanBoardof Radiology Certification 

Completion of an ACGME approved Fellowship Program in Vascular Interventional
