We are hiring a Node.js Software Engineer – Testing for one of the leading banks in the UAE, offering an exciting opportunity to work on scalable, enterprise-grade applications within a fast-paced Agile environment.

Education:

  • Bachelor's or Postgraduate degree in Computer Science or a related field (or equivalent industry experience)

Experience:

  • Minimum of5 years of experience inJavaScript with a strong focus onautomation testing
  • At least1 year of hands-on experience with TypeScript
  • Solid experience inAutomation Testing Techniques and Tools such as:
    • Playwright
    • Cucumber
    • Appium
    • Selenium

Technical Skills:

  • Proven expertise in developing and testingscalable, highly available RESTful APIs and microservices using JavaScript technologies
  • Ability to createend-to-end automation test suites usingPlaywright/Selenium, preferably following theBDD approach
  • Practical experience withGraphQL
  • Familiarity withCI/CD principles and hands-on troubleshooting indistributed services
  • Working knowledge ofcontainerization usingDocker andKubernetes
  • Exposure toAPI Gateway integrations (e.g., 3Scale)
  • Understanding ofSingle Sign-On (SSO) andtoken-based authentication (e.g., REST, JWT, OAuth)
  • Experience withtask/message queues such asAWS SQS,Microsoft Azure Service Bus,Pushpin, orKafka

Functional Skills:

  • Follows best practices incoding,unit testing,security, anddocumentation
  • Experience working inAgile development environments
  • Strong ability toresearch and benchmark tools and technologies against industry standards

Soft Skills:

  • Ability toinfluence cross-functional teams on technical decisions, enhancing productivity through deep technical knowledge
  • Aself-starter who can take ownership and drive results without direct supervision
  • Stronginterpersonal and communication skills, capable of presenting ideas tosenior and executive management
