Your mission

We are looking for creative, highly motivated individuals to help prepare for the successful launch oftabelecleucel (Tab-cel),an investigational celltherapy for the treatment of Epstein Barr positive post-transplant lymphoproliferative disease.  

 

TheNational Access Director will play a critical role in preparing for launch andfacilitating urgent access toTab-celonce approved.In the pre-approval phase, they will work closely with Pierre Fabre’s Cell Therapy AccountDirectors and Field Medical Directors tosupport siteoperational onboarding andreadiness leading up to and after theanticipated approval oftheTab-Cel.They willbe responsible for pre- and post-approval information exchanges with payers to ensurepayers have theappropriate data and informationrequired to enable coverage decisions and provide a pathway to coverage for patients whomay be prescribed theTab-cel post approval.Critically, they will ensure thatfinancial stakeholders at treating facilities and payers havetimely access to information needed to navigate the preparation for the relevant prior authorization process andpotentialsingle case agreements.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 

  • Operate in compliance with all laws, regulations and policies that govern the conduct of Pierre Fabre activities 

  • Facilitate urgent access to Tab-cel post approval by educating payer customer segment and treatment center financial stakeholders of value proposition of product 

  • Contributes tothe US Value and Access Team by monitoring trends, policy changes, and implications andtaking ownership of thisexpertise  

  • Seek out opportunities forsynergy and partnership to achieve both Pierre Fabre and customer goals through active and transparent planning and customer engagement with cross functional Team. 

Tab-CelSupport 

  • Enable payer coverage assessment forTab-Celthrough pre-approval information exchange and post-approval with national and regionalpayers in theCommercial, Medicare, andVA sectors 

  • Supportoverall accessstrategy withengagement of Federal Payers andMedicare FFS 

  • Contribute to market access strategic imperatives  

  • Educate payers on the urgent unmet need and provide resources to ensure a pathway to coveragein the pre and post approval regulatory setting 

  • Identifyappropriate payer stakeholders for the therapy and partner with payercolleagues toestablish path forexpeditedreview ofcases 

  • Provide approved product education and health economic information to key customers in payer and provider segment to communicate the value proposition of the product.  

  • Ensure financial and reimbursement confidence and communicate payer coverage withproviders post approval 

  • Partner with treatment sites and key stakeholders to educateon reimbursement process,coverage and coding details relevant for the Therapy post approval, ensuring stakeholder comfortand confidence in their reimbursement process 

  • Liaise with external specialty distributor counterpart(s) tomeetobjectives while providing abest-in-class experience for sites of care 

  • Proactively communicate payer coverage criteria tointernal field teams and external site of care stakeholders 

  • Preparepotential treatment centers to be reimbursement ready before and afteranticipated approval 

  • Ensure that providers and payers havetimely access toinformation needed to navigate prior authorizations and the negotiation of single-case agreements (e.g.coding, relevant policy, setting of care considerations) 

  • The National Access Director will be the primaryfield team member responsiblefor educationregarding patientassistance programs at sites of care 

  • The National Access Director is the field expert in market access related issues related toTrade Policy 

  • National Access Directorisresponsible for partnering with payer relations teams at sites of care toresolve any issuesregarding coverage and reimbursement 

 

REQUIREDEDUCATION ANDEXPERIENCE  

  • Bachelor’s degreerequired, healthcare degrees or credentials desirable 

  • Strong, pre-existing working experience with national and regional payers that manage medicaland pharmacy benefitpolicy 

  • Deep knowledge of and experience with inpatient and outpatient reimbursementmethodology and dynamics andimpacts to hospital access economics 

  • 10+ years of biotech/pharmarequired with at leastfive years of direct experience in coverage and reimbursement dynamics of complex advanced therapies (E.g. cell therapy, gene therapy, radio ligand)  

Strongly Preferred 

  • Experience withcell and gene therapy networks and Medical Director teams at payers that manage Cell Therapy products 

  • Strong presentation skills and executive presence 

  • Exceptional business acumen andhospitaladministrativeexpertise  

  • Cell, Gene, Stem Cell Transplant service lineexperience and established relationships with financial KOLs at institutions 

  • Ability to work in fast-pacedand dynamic environment whilemaintaining cross functionalinternalrelationshipsand contribute to site of care account planning 

  • Experience with pharmacy/ therapeutics committee andhigh impact drug review processes at institutions 

LOCATION: 

US, remote, domestic travel up to30% 

Compensation and Benefits:

Anticipated Salary Range: $200,000 -$250,000

This range represents the base annual full-time salary for all positions within the applicable job grade. The actual salary offer will depend on a range of factors including experience, education, location, and other relevant qualifications. This position is also eligible for a Pierre Fabre bonus, commission, or incentive program in addition to the base pay.
