Job Description Summary:
One who is capable of and responsible for installation and repair of production, packing, or materials handling equipment or plant facilities. Has a high degree of training and skill in one or more phases of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, hydraulic, pneumatic systems, operation of equipment, or parts fabrication in a general machine shop.This is a union role with the pay rate of $33 an hour.
Job Description:
Key Responsibilities:
Conductroutinemaintenancetasks,inspections,andrepairsoncandyproductionmachinery,conveyors, and equipment to prevent breakdowns and ensureoptimal performance.
Diagnosemechanicalissuesusingdiagnostictoolsandmanualtechniquesandimplementeffective solutionsin a timely manner.
Developandexecutepreventivemaintenanceschedulesforallmachineryandequipmenttominimize unplanneddowntime and engage with system.
Lubricate, clean,andadjustcomponentstomaintainproperfunctionalityandextendequipmentlifespan.
Respondpromptlytoequipmentbreakdownsandemergenciestotroubleshootandconducton-the-spot repairs, aiming to minimize production disruptions.
Order and replacedamaged or faultyparts asneeded.
Maintainaccurateand up-to-daterecordsofmaintenanceactivities,repairs, andpartsreplacements.
Documentprocedures,checklists,andmaintenancelogstoensureeffectivecommunicationandknowledgesharing.
Adheretoallsafetyguidelinesandprotocols,includinglockout/tagoutprocedures,toensureasafeworking environment for yourself and others.
Recordordocumenttheresultsof themeasurementontheappropriateforms.
Performescalationtomanagementifactions areunabletoachievespecification.
Performchecksand measurementsandmakeadjustments toachievethequalitytargets. Perform maintenance tasks in compliance with relevant regulations and company policies.
Minimum Qualifications:
PreferredHighschooldiplomaorequivalent,technicalcertificationorrelevantvocationaltrainingin mechanical maintenance.
Electrical experience required: to read and understand electrical wiring diagrams, wiring and troubleshooting 220-480 volts 3 phase motors, DC motors, electrical panels, variable frequency drives and manual machine interfaces. State of California certification is helpful.
Strongmechanical aptitudeand theabilityto diagnoseandrepair mechanical issueseffectively.
Familiaritywithcandymanufacturingmachinery,conveyors,andequipmentisadvantageous.
Proficiencyin usinghand andpowertools, diagnosticequipment,and precisioninstruments.
Knowledgeofhydraulic, pneumatic,andelectricalsystemsrelevanttomanufacturingmachinery.
Excellentproblem-solvingskills,attentionto detailandtheabilitytoworkwellunderpressure.
Effectivecommunication skillstocollaboratewithcolleaguesand reportmaintenance activities.
PhysicalRequirements:
Ableto teamlift upto 50lbs. onoccasion.
Abletostand,walk,bend,reach,twistthroughout durationofshift.
