Litigation Paralegal - full time or part time

We are seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal to support a U.S. law firm with active civil litigation matters from intake through trial preparation.

This is a fully remote role for a legal professional with strong litigation experience, excellent drafting skills, and the ability to manage deadlines, discovery, filings, and case preparation with accuracy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support attorneys throughout all stages of civil litigation.
  • Draft pleadings, motions, notices, discovery requests, discovery responses, subpoenas, and correspondence.
  • Prepare and organize exhibits, evidence, deposition materials, and trial documents.
  • Manage discovery, including document collection, review, organization, and production.
  • Assist with preparing interrogatories, requests for production, requests for admission, and responses.
  • Coordinate depositions, hearings, mediations, conferences, and trials.
  • Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, courts, experts, witnesses, and vendors.
  • Track statutes of limitation, court deadlines, discovery deadlines, hearings, and case milestones.
  • Prepare court filings and work with state and federal electronic filing systems.
  • Maintain accurate and organized digital case files.
  • Conduct legal and factual research in support of active matters.
  • Assist attorneys with deposition preparation, mediation preparation, and trial preparation.
  • Prepare chronologies, case summaries, damages documentation, and other litigation materials.
  • Work within the firm's case management and document management systems.
  • Follow established firm procedures and quality standards.

Candidate Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience as a Paralegal, Lawyer, or Attorney.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience working as a litigation paralegal for a law firm in the United States.
  • Strong hands-on experience with U.S. civil litigation.
  • Experience drafting pleadings, motions, discovery, subpoenas, and litigation correspondence.
  • Strong experience managing discovery and document production.
  • Experience preparing cases for depositions, mediations, hearings, and trials.
  • Experience with state or federal court filing systems.
  • Strong understanding of litigation deadlines and court procedures.
  • Experience working directly with U.S. attorneys and clients.
  • Strong legal drafting and document preparation skills.
  • Experience with legal case management software.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 or comparable cloud-based business tools.
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
