Interventional Pulmonary Physician

Join Lahey Hospital & Medical Center (LHMC), a leading academic medical center inBurlington, MA, as afull-time Interventional Pulmonary Physician. This is a unique opportunity to combine advanced clinical practice with significant leadership roles in education and innovative lung therapies.
About the Role
You'll be a vital part of our dynamic Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine, contributing to one of the nation's most respected Interventional Pulmonary programs. This position includes afaculty appointment at UMASS Chan or Tufts University School of Medicine,commensurate with your experience (Assistant or Associate Professor).
Key Leadership Opportunities
In addition to comprehensive clinical practice,you'll take on two crucial leadership roles:
Associate Program Director for the Interventional Pulmonology Fellowship
Director of theBronchoscopic Lung Volume Reduction (BLVR) Program
What You'll Do
Clinical Excellence
Perform a full range of interventional pulmonary procedures, including:
Advanced bronchoscopy (navigation, robotic, EBUS-TBNA)
Pleural disease management
Bronchoscopic Lung Volume Reduction (BLVR) using FDA-approved technologies
Lead and expand the BLVR program, overseeing patient selection, multidisciplinary coordination, procedural excellence, and outcomes tracking.
Provide inpatient and outpatient care within a collaborative pulmonary practice.
Educational Leadership
Serve asAssociate Program Director for the Interventional Pulmonology Fellowship.
Mentor IP fellows, PCCM fellows, residents, and medical students.
Contribute to curriculum development, assessment, simulation training, and scholarly activities.
Foster an inclusive, diverse, and intellectually stimulating training environment.
Academic & Research Engagement
Engage inclinical research and quality improvement initiatives related to interventional pulmonary procedures and BLVR.
Participate in publications, presentations, and educational symposia.
Dedicatedprotected time for academic activities.
What We're Looking For
MD or DO degree with completion of an AABIP-accredited Interventional Pulmonology (IP) fellowship.
Board-certified/board-eligible inPulmonary Disease and Critical Care Medicine.
Eligible formedical licensure in Massachusetts.
Demonstratedexcellence in teaching and clinical care.
Prior leadership or mentorship experience is strongly preferred.
Experience withBLVR, or a strong interest and willingness to lead programmatic development in this area.

Pay Range:
$300,000.00 USD - $350,000.00 USDThe pay range listed for this position is the annual base salary range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at this time. Actual compensation may be determined based on several factors, that may include education, training, relevant experience, specialty, geography of work location, productivity, job responsibilities, or other applicable factors permissible by law. In addition to base compensation, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentive compensation, which may include productivity and quality bonuses.
