Instrument and control Technician

Role:
The Instrument Technician will be reporting directly to the I&C supervisor. He will be responsible to carry out maintenance / repair activities for all instruments in the Desalination / RO plant along with new installations / modifications whenever required.
Functional / Operational tasks:
To carry out all routine maintenance & repair activities of all the instruments at desalination plantÂ
Troubleshoot all online process monitors and analyzer instrumentsÂ
Analysis of faults and reporting to the Instrument SupervisorÂ
Perform all scheduled & unscheduled maintenance activities with optimum utilization of resources Â
Calibration of all field instruments, like PH, Conductivity, Turbidity, Temperature& Pressure Transmitters, Pressure gauges, Control valves etc.,
Capable to execute the new installations & modification works whenever requiredÂ
Document & Recordkeeping of all maintenance activities performed and instrument calibration reportsÂ
To maintain good housekeeping & adhere to EHS requirements in carrying out all the instrument activities.Â
Maintain the tools by regular inspectionsÂ
New project study and realization,Â
Supervise SD teams and report (I&C task and coordinate with the other department)
Technical report and improvement proposal
Education: Education & Trainings required:
- Diploma in Instrumentation & Control discipline (TS, DEUA, or equivalent..)Â
Minimum 3 years work experience is required with Diploma; At least 2 years maintenance work experience, preferably in water & waste water treatment plant/Desalination plant/RO plant/power/petroleum/chemical or any other continuous manufacturing process industry.
Good knowledge on the concept of AutomationÂ
Ability to repair/calibrate all online process instrumentsÂ
Capable to understand P&ID, Instrument loop diagrams and control panel wiring diagramÂ
Proficient in HART Protocol and Emerson 376/476 Field Communicators.
Comprehensive knowledge of automated process control systems, including GE Fanuc PLCs and SCADA.
Work experience:Â
Breadth/depth of experience requiredÂ
Experience working with similar systems in a similar business environment
IT knowledge :
MS Office and Google Apps
Languages level:
English: Required for reading error codes, hardware guides, and writing reports
