Position Overview:
We areseeking a skilled and dedicated Fleet Mechanic to join our team, specializing in the maintenance and repair of our fleet of vehicles and ambulances. The Fleet Mechanic willbe responsible for ensuring that allvehicles andambulances are inoptimal workingcondition to guarantee safety and reliability. The role requiresexpertise in diagnosing mechanical issues, performing routinemaintenance, and executing repairs.
Responsibilities:
Ensure all vehicles and ambulances are inoptimal working conditions toguarantee safety and reliability
Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, tirerotations, and brake inspections
Diagnose and repair issues ranging from electrical to mechanical
Handle all diagnostic and emission repairs
Diagnose and repair HVAC issues
Conduct comprehensive inspections and preventative maintenance
Ensure all equipment repairs are completed
Performthemonthly vehicle safety checklists
Manage inventory, resources, andalways planahead
Handle vehiclelogistics (towing, breakdowns, flats,ect)
Ensure successfulDOT/TLC inspections
Maintain detailed records of allmaintenance and repair work performed
Ensure all documents and notedmaintenance needs are communicated to management
Coordinate with emergency medical services (EMS) teams to ensure fleet readiness
Perform other tasks as assigned
Qualifications:
4 years of experience
Must be able to use your own tools
A/C certified(If you do not have this, you must be willing to obtain within 6 months)
Valid Driver’s License (minimum of 2 years) with an acceptable driving record.
Strong organizational and record-keeping skills
Ability to successfully work independently and as part of a team
ASE certification is(preferred, but notrequired)
Ambulance / Ambulette experience(preferred, but notrequired)
Welding experience(preferred, but notrequired)
