Role Details
📍Job location: Pune or Bangalore (Hybrid — 3 days per week in the office)
🕒Contract type: Permanent

⏰Working hours: Full-time (40h/week), aligned with the GMT timezone (starting at1:00 PM IST)
💵Compensation: INR 15,00,000 – 30,00,000 per year
📋 What You'll Architect
As anETL and Automation Test Engineer (SDET), you will help organisations transform complexity into measurable outcomes by combining technology, data, intelligence, and human decision-making.
This role is both technical and consultative - perfect for someone who can combinehands-on test automation and data validation,ensuring theaccuracy, stability, and reliability of complex data platforms. We’re looking for professionals who think like architects and act like builders.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintainSQL-based testing and data validation frameworks to ensure data quality across enterprise platforms
Create, execute, and optimisedatabase and API test automation solutionswhile supporting ETL processes, data pipelines, and metadata management
Analyse, organise and validate raw data toensureaccuracy and reliability
Collaborate with business SMEs and data analytics expertsto enhance functionality and efficiency within our data ecosystem.
Maintain and enhanceautomated testing frameworks
Create appropriate standards and processes to ensure the quality and consistency of data in the platform

🛠️ What You Bring
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
5+ years of experience in software testing, test automation, data engineering, or quality engineering roles.
Strong experience working withenterprise data platforms and database testing.
Experience working withinAgile delivery environments.
Professional proficiency in English.
Technical & Professional Skills
Strong experience withSQL testing and database validation, preferably includingSnowflake andMicrosoft SQL Server
Experience withdatabase and API test automation
Basic to intermediate proficiency inJava and/or Python for automation development
Understanding ofETL processes, data pipelines, and data quality validation practices
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, androot cause analysis capabilities
Experience developing and maintainingautomated testing frameworks
Familiarity withGit version control and software development best practices
Ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and business stakeholders.
Nice to Have
UI test automation using Selenium
Experience executing automated tests throughCI/CD platforms (Jenkins or equivalent).
Knowledge ofPower BI reporting and dashboards
Familiarity withAirflow or similar workflow orchestration tools
Understanding ofcloud-based data platforms and architectures
Experience in consulting, client-facing environments, or global delivery teams
Relevant certifications in testing, automation, cloud, or data technologies.
