As a Senior/Staff engineer, you will be a part of revolutionarynext generation NANDresearch & development dry etch team driving critical modules listed below. The position promisesample opportunities for innovation, collaboration and testing a new dimension and scaling withnext generation NAND. You will work directly with process integration and other process areas such as Wet etch, CVD, Diffusion, Metals, Lithography & CMP. You will work onstate of the art and best in class dry etch chambers & own the process roadmap to meet program and yield goals.Your responsibilities include, butnot limited to:
Job Responsibilities:
Developing dry etch processes to meet the physical&electrical requirements of Micron’s products.
Optimizing dry etch processes to reduce cost, process variability, and improve process capability
Collaborating with process integration and other process development teams to develop innovative new solutions
Conducting root cause and failure mode analysis to understand the limitations of current hardware and driving vendors for solutions
Performing fundamental research to drive innovative solutions for next-generation products
Maintaining a technology development pilot manufacturing line
Support process transfer to production facilities (some domestic and/or international travel may be required)
Qualifications & Skills:
Demonstrate research and developmentaptitude in science and engineeringfields
Examples of experimental design and data analysis
Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills
Ability to use extensive technical knowledge to guide strategic directions
Ability to resolve complex issues through root-cause or model-based problem solving
Proficiency in statistics (preferred) andin statistical process control
Ability to work independently, with minimal direction, and a focus on meeting commitments
Ability to multi-task and manage numerous projects simultaneously
Fundamental knowledge of at least one of the following: transport phenomena, dry etch processing,kinetic theory, statistical thermodynamics,or plasma physics
Data science basics / Python coding/ GenAIprogramming is desirable
Strong computer skills, includingMS Office
Education
Masters with minimum 2 yearsof relevant experienceinvolving dry etchin semiconductor industry/ PhD inChemical, Mechanical, Electrical, Material Science, Physics, Chemical physics, Chemistry, Semiconductorengineering or relevant majors.
Bachelors inChemical, Mechanical, Electrical, Material Science, Physics, Chemical Physics, Chemistry, Semiconductorengineering or relevant majors with minimum 5years of relevant experience indry etch process
