About the role

We are looking for aData Enablement Engineer to help teams adopt and enable If’s strategic data platform built onAzure, Databricks, dbt, Git, and CI/CD. You will work directly with users during their first implementations, help solve technical challenges, and turn recurring lessons into reusable onboarding assets, templates, and best practices. 

Your success is measured not only by successful onboarding, but by how quickly teams can deliverbusiness value using the platform. By reducing friction, accelerating adoption, and promoting proven ways of working, you help data teams spend less time figuring out the platform and more time creating value for customers and the business. 

What are you going to do?

  • Guide teams through onboarding and their first implementations on Databricks and modern data engineering tools

  • Provide hands-on support and knowledge sharing with Databricks, DBT, Git, CI/CD, and platform ways of working

  • Help teams move faster from idea to production by removing technical and process-related obstacles

  • Help create or support the creation of reusable assets such as templates, examples, training material, and troubleshooting guides

  • Guide engineers, analysts, and other data practitioners to become productive faster

  • Identify recurring challenges and translate them into improved onboarding, documentation, or platform practices

  • Drive platform adoption that enables teams to deliver business outcomes more efficiently and consistently

What do we expect from you?

  • Hands-on experience with Azure, Databricks, DBT, Git, CI/CD, and modern data platform concepts

  • The ability to understand both technical challenges and the business goals behind them

  • Excellent communication and coaching skills

  • A passion for improving developer experience and helping others succeed

  • A strong focus on outcomes, adoption, productivity, and value creation

  • The ability to thrive in a collaborative and agile environment

  • Show ability to work effectively in an English-speaking environment, ensuring clear communication with international teams and stakeholders

You will be working in a team called User Enablement, focusing on onboarding teams across If to Data Platform. The team's mission is to enable employees to make data-driven decisions in their daily work by providing accessible, relevant learning materials and a supportive environment that is both enjoyable and engaging. It is a blend of technical work with day-to-day user communication and support, so you get to know a lot of colleagues across the organization.
