Job Purpose

TheCredit Supervisor supports the effective management of the hotel’sCredit and Accounts Receivable function, ensuring accurate billing, timely collection of outstanding balances, proper credit control, and compliance with hotel policies and internal financial controls.

The role works closely with Finance and operational departments to protect the hotel’s financial interests while maintaining professional relationships with corporate clients, travel agencies, government accounts, groups, guests, and other business partners.

Key Responsibilities

Credit Control & Accounts Receivable

• Supervise the day-to-day activities of theCredit and Accounts Receivable function.
• Ensure all credit accounts are properly approved and supported by valid documentation in accordance with hotel credit policies.
• Review new credit applications and ensure required documents, approvals, credit limits, and payment terms are complete.
• Monitor credit limits and payment terms and highlight accounts requiring management attention.
• Review theAccounts Receivable Aging Report regularly and follow up on outstanding balances.
• Maintain systematic collection follow-up with companies, travel agents, government entities, groups, and other debtors.
• Escalate significantly overdue or high-risk accounts to the Credit Manager and Director of Finance.
• Support the hotel in controllingDays Sales Outstanding (DSO) and minimizing bad-debt exposure.

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.SOCPA certification or membership is preferred.

Previous experience in Credit, Accounts Receivable, or Hotel Finance is required. Previous experience in a supervisory capacity within an international hotel environment is an advantage.

Strong knowledge of credit control, accounts receivable, and financial procedures.

Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and accounting systems.

Experience with Opera PMS or similar hotel systems is an advantage.

Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Good command of English and Arabic.

Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.

SOCPA certification or membership is preferred
