IOTA Group is looking for an experiencedCommissioning Engineer - Cooling Specialist to join its teams within aleading international energy management and industrial technology company, supporting the commissioning of critical cooling systems on a major project in theUnited Arab Emirates.

The position is based at theKhazna Site in Ajman, UAE, and will focus on thepre-commissioning, start-up, testing and operational support of Cooling Distribution Units (CDU).

AsCommissioning Engineer - Cooling Specialist, you will be responsible for supporting the commissioning and start-up activities ofCooling Distribution Units and associated hydraulic, electrical and control systems.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Performpre-commissioning inspections of primary and secondary piping, hydraulic components and electrical connections.
  • Verify correct installation, wiring, termination, mounting and overall mechanical integrity of the equipment.
  • Confirm completion and adequacy ofsystem flushing and perform visual inspections to identify defects, leaks or installation issues.
  • Perform commissioning and start-up checks onprimary and secondary cooling circuits.
  • Verify electrical power systems includingvoltage, phase sequence, grounding, protection devices and power supply integrity.
  • Check the installation, calibration and operational readiness ofsensors and control devices.
  • Support initial filling, flushing,air purging and hydraulic balancing of the secondary loop.
  • Testpumps and Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) and verify rotation, control response and operational performance.
  • Perform functional testing ofcontrol sequences, alarms, safeties and interlocks.
  • Carry out communication testing throughBACnet / Modbus and verify correct integration with theBuilding Management System (BMS).
  • SupportSite Acceptance Testing (SAT) of the Cooling Distribution Units.
  • Monitor CDU operation and system performance through theHuman Machine Interface (HMI).
  • Record operating parameters including temperatures, pressures, flow rates, pump status, valve positions and alarms.
  • Extract available event and alarm logs and contribute to the preparation of commissioning and test reports.
  • Provideonsite standby support and immediate troubleshooting in case of abnormal operating conditions or system alarms.
  • Strong practical knowledge and experience withcooling systems.
  • Proven experience incommissioning, start-up or testing of cooling equipment and associated systems.
  • Good understanding ofhydraulic circuits, pumps, VFDs, instrumentation and control systems.
  • Knowledge ofBMS communication protocols such as BACnet and Modbus.
  • Ability to perform commissioning inspections, functional testing and troubleshooting activities onsite.
  • Comfortable working withHMI systems, operational parameters, alarms and equipment status.
  • English proficiency required.
  • Ability to work in an international and multicultural project environment.

  • Working schedule: Resident position - 6 days per week / 4x1 rotation
