Job Description


About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Benefits Intern to support our Benefits team. As a Benefits Intern, you will play a key role in assisting with employee communications and engagement and data management. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the field of Compensation and Benefits and develop your skills in a dynamic and international environment.

Start date:15 September 2026
Duration:Minimum 6 months
Workload: 32–40 hours per week
Allowance:€625 per month (based on a 40-hour working week), plus full reimbursement of travel expenses
Location:Amsterdam


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain an employee communications calendar for the Netherlands, including creating engaging templates and content.

  • Support the Benefits Manager with roll-out of a Benefits Portal in the Netherlands.

  • Update and maintain the Benefits Portals sites, ensuring that all information is up-to-date and easily accessible.

  • Review and update policy documents, ensuring compliance and accurate storage.

  • Maintaining a comprehensive overview of all benefits in Europe, including descriptions of each benefit, vendor information and policy details.

  • Support with annual benefit survey and benchmarking activities.

  • Assist in developing new onboarding materials for new hires, ensuring they have a thorough understanding of our employee benefits.

  • Support the development of HR Business Partner training materials to keep HR teams knowledgeable about our employee benefits.

  • Support with responding to basic employee queries regarding their benefits, providing excellent customer service and escalating complex issues to the Benefits Manager as needed.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in a field related to HR, Compensation, or Rewards.

  • Proficiency in Excel, including the ability to work with simple Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs.

  • Experience working with SharePoint and confident PowerPoint user.

  • Excellent stakeholder communication skills – ability to effectively communicate with a wide array of stakeholders across countries, locations and functions.

  • Curious and proactive approach to problem-solving.

  • Ability to simplify complex issues and develop pragmatic solutions.

Note: Candidates must have EU working rights, meaning they must either hold EU citizenship or be studying in the Netherlands.

EU/EEA students: You must be enrolled at a European university for 50 percent of the duration of the internship.

Non-EU students: You must be enrolled at a Dutch university for the full duration of the internship.
