This position supports the delivery of professional audio-visual and event services across Town Hall Broadmeadows, Hume Global Learning Centres and other Council facilities. The role is responsible for the setup, operation and pack down of audio-visual equipment, providing technical support for events and functions, and triaging, resolving or escalating technical issues to ensure the successful delivery of events and activities.
What you’ll be doing:
- Ensure setup and pack down of AV equipment is completed for all events.Â
- Respond to requests for support by providing information to enable incident resolution and promptly allocate unresolved issues as appropriate, maintain records and advise AV Technician.
- Work as part of the team to provide high-quality customer service for clients / users interested in hiring a venue, room or facility.
- Ensure that any complaints are managed and dealt with in a timely and efficient manner in consultation with the senior leadership team for Venues and Operations.
- Develop and maintain a sound understanding of the Hume City Council policies, procedures and processes.
- Provide support to all members of the broader Community Facilities Unit.
The skills and experience you’ll bring to the role:
- The ability to work independently, identifying resources and make independent decisions with guidance always available.
- The ability to identify and analyse problems, consider options, develop solutions, and decide on most appropriate action to achieve desired outcomes.
- Skilled knowledge of audio-visual equipment, computers, presentation software and A/V equipment.
- Time management skills including a demonstrated capacity to set and achieve goals and objectives and deliver projects on time despite conflicting pressures.
- Excellent organisational skills, including the ability to monitor and maintain accurate records to ensure systems and processes are maintained and adhered to.
- Capacity to handle complaints effectively with the ability to escalate accordingly.
Required Certifications & QualificationsÂ
- Qualifications in Audio Visual with at least two years on the job experience.
- Current driver’s licence.
