Tetūranga – The role
We currently have two excitingfixed-term opportunities available. One is with the Deposit Takers Statistics team until30June 2027, and the other is with the Financial System Statistics team until30October 2027.
Asan Analystyou willcontribute to the production, analysis, and dissemination of high quality, fit-for-purposedata and statistics.
Day to day you will:
Contribute to thetimely production, analysis and dissemination of data and statistics.
Identifyand implementimprovementsandmanage risksand issuesindata and processes
Contribute to the development of new collections and new methods of dissemination.
Provide advice on how to understand,analyse and use data and statistics, tailoring the advice to the needs of the user.
Ōpūkenga – About you
To succeed in this role, you will bring:
A degree in statistics, data science, finance, economics, or related discipline.
Experience in/ability to learnandleveragea rangeof data platforms and tools. Experience inExcel,PowerBi, R, Python and / or SQL an advantage.
Understanding of financial, economic and / or banking data.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Ability to convey technical information to a non-technical audience
Sound judgement and the ability to think holistically across a broad range of issues

Theanticipated appointment range for this roleis $69,030 to $91,102(actual salary will be dependent on your skills and experience).
