Accounts Receivable Specialist

As an Accounts Receivable Specialist, you will support theIncome Producing Property (IPP) accounting team with day-to-day accounts receivable and tenant accounting activities for Third Space Properties' commercial and residentialportfolios. This roleis responsible foraccurately recording receipts,administeringPADpayments, processing rent rolls, managing tenant chargebacks, andhandlingresidential move-in and move-out accounting. Your attention to detail, ability to manage multiple priorities, andconfidence working with accounting systems will be criticalto succeeding in this role. 

Key Responsibilities: 

• Record tenant receipts received by cheque and EFT accurately andin a timely manner. 

• Process,monitor, and managePAD payments. 

• Create, review, and post rent rolls in Yardi Voyager 7S. 

• Process tenant chargebacks, Rent Increases, and other miscellaneousaccounts receivable charges. 

• Reconcile tenant receipts and PAD activity to bank transactions,identify returned or rejected payments, and resolve discrepancies promptly. 

• Process residential tenant move-ins, including applicable charges, and related accounting set-up. 

• Process residential tenant move-outs, including final account review and deposit accounting. 

• Assist Property Accountants with reporting, reconciliations, and ad hoc tasks as needed. 
• Supportaccurate accounting records and ensure compliance with internal accounting policies, procedures, and controls. 

Qualifications & Experience: 

• Diploma, degree, or coursework in accounting, or equivalent experience. 

• 1 - 2 years of experience in an accounting role. 

• Experience with residential property management is a strong asset. 

• Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
  Yardi Voyager 7S experience is a strong asset. 

• Detail-oriented, highly organized, and able to prioritize tasks and work independently. 

• Excellent communication skills with a positive, team-oriented approach.

Salary Range:

Third Space provides a competitive salary and benefits package as well as many other perks and benefits. The AR Specialist salary range is $55,000 - $65,000 with an annual performance bonus.  This role is eligible for health & dental benefits. The exact compensation offered will be dependent upon education & training, years of relevant experience, and internal equity.
