Accounting Manager

A well-established accounting and advisory firm is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to lead its accounting function and support a diverse portfolio of clients.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and oversee accounting records and documentation, ensuring accuracy and completeness
• Supervise the proper execution of accounting entries, general ledger activities, fixed assets register, account reconciliations, and financial reporting processes
• Ensure full compliance with Greek accounting and tax legislation
• Prepare, monitor, and analyze financial and tax data
• Manage and oversee tax obligations and filings, including VAT returns, myDATA submissions, withholding taxes, intercompany reporting, E9 declarations, and other statutory requirements
• Prepare annual financial statements in accordance with applicable regulations
• Lead, mentor, and coordinate a team of 3 accounting professionals
• Support and advise clients on accounting and tax-related matters
• Monitor and optimize accounting procedures and internal controls
• Collaborate with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory authorities

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field
• 8–15 years of experience in an organized accounting environment, including experience in a managerial role
• Strong knowledge of Greek accounting standards and tax legislation
• Proven experience in managing and developing accounting teams
• Solid experience with ERP and accounting systems, such as SoftOne, Entersoft, and SAP
• Strong knowledge of Category C bookkeeping and financial reporting
• Professional certification or a postgraduate degree in a relevant field will be considered an asset
• Excellent command of the English language, both written and spoken
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Excellent organizational abilities with strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Analytical thinking and problem-solving mindset

• Annual Gross Compensation: Base Salary €35.000-€45.000
