Main Focus of the Role

This role is responsible for designing, developing, and supporting high-performance applications usingC++, Java, and Spring Boot technologies. The successful candidate will build scalableREST APIs and Microservices, contribute to strategic engineering initiatives, and provide technical expertise across Telstra's network and software platforms.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain efficient and reliableC++ applications.

• DevelopJava & Spring Boot Microservices.

• Build and enhanceRESTful APIs.

• Troubleshoot technical issues and implement effective solutions.

• Test, deploy, and support new and existing applications.

• Extend and maintain existing software modules.

• Collaborate with engineers, architects, and stakeholders to deliver business outcomes.

• Contribute technical expertise to new and ongoing strategic initiatives.

• Ensure delivery of high-quality solutions within agreed timelines.

Essential Skills

• 10+ years of C++ development experience (C++14 or above).

• Strong understanding ofC++ internals, algorithms, and data structures.

• Hands-on experience withJava and Spring Boot.

• Proven experience buildingREST APIs and Microservices.

• StrongLinux/Unix experience, includingBash scripting.

• Proficiency inPython development.

• Experience withDocker and Kubernetes.

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving capability.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

• Ability to work independently and deliver in a fast-paced environment.

Desired Skills

• Telecommunications or Networking industry experience.

• Experience withGolang or other modern programming languages.

• Exposure to large-scale distributed systems and cloud-native environments.

Ideal Candidate

A highly experienced software engineer with deep expertise inC++, strongJava/Spring Boot Microservices development capability, and a proven track record of building scalable, reliable, and high-performing software solutions. Candidates withTelecom or Networking domain experience will be highly regarded
