Schedule of Work: (not a remote or hybrid position)

- Monday to Friday: 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM

- Rotating Saturday: 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM

As a Real Estate Loan Processor at Sandia Area, you are responsible for processing, reviewing, assisting with and electronically storing real estate loan documentation. This full time, on-site role works closely with loan officers and other stakeholders to facilitate the loan approval and closing process.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Maintain a thorough understanding and strict adherence to credit union regulations, compliance requirements, policies, procedures, and operational guidelines.

  • Received and reviews real estate loan applications, ensuring all required documentation is complete, accurate and in compliance with established policies and procedures.

  • Performs home equity loan pre-closing duties, to include order and reviewing appraisals, prepare and sending disclosures within regulatory timeframes, order and reviewing title searches and flood certificates, obtaining updated homeowners insurance, and other required tasks.

  • Performs home equity post-closing duties, to include funding the loan, assembling loan files, following up on releases of mortgage and other required tasks.

  • Assists in background loan functions such as rate changes, HMDA, borrower insurance monitoring, mortgage releases and mailing adverse actions.

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

  • Expertise in basic lending procedures and real estate knowledge with a requisite understanding of financial institution operations.

  • Requires excellent interpersonal communication skills.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Exceptional attention to detail is a must.

  • Exceptional time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple responsibilities, and adapt to a fast-paced environment.

  • Proactive in seeking professional growth, embracing both formal and informal development opportunities, and demonstrating adaptability to new responsibilities.

  • Team-oriented with a strong collaborative mindset, actively supporting team members and contributing to a positive and high-performing environment.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

  • Ability to perform essential functions, including the ability to lift up to 10 lbs. as needed.

 

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements

  • HSD or GED

    • Directly related experience, in addition to minimum years required, may be considered as a substitution.

  • Two (2)year(s) of applicable experience required.

  • Two or Four year Business or related degree preferred

  • General knowledge of credit union operations may be desirable.
