COOKING INSTRUCTOR

(Non-Union, Casual)

The West Vancouver Community Services Department is currently accepting applications for a Casual Cooking Instructor to teach basic food safety knowledge, healthy eating habits, food safety, cooking and baking skills to school-age children in an after-school setting.

The preferred candidate will have:

·        experience working with children/youth

·        experience with building cooking class curriculum and giving instructions

·        experience working in a kitchen and/or have culinary education

·        flexibility and creativity with available facility equipment

·        current FoodSafe certificate

·        current First Aid, CPR-C and AED certificate

The successful candidate is required to supply a police information check with vulnerable sector and a copy of their credentials.
