Dialysis Clinical Technician - Float Pool - 40 Hours/Week

Up to a $2,000 Sign On Bonus for Certified Dialysis Technician
Under supervision of nursing staff, is responsible for the assessment and direct care of patients on hemodialysis.Â
This position floats to outpatient Dialysis units throughout Southeast Michigan.Â
**PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:**
- Kick off patients' hemodialysis journey by administering normal saline solution via the extracorporeal system—you're literally making a real difference in their lives every single day!
- Become a hemodialysis initiation rockstar! Master the technique of administering 2% xylocaine subcutaneously with confidence and precision.
- Own your role as the anticoagulant heparin champion! Administer prescribed doses via the extracorporeal system and/or cannulated access site while collaborating with our awesome nursing team to keep everything running like clockwork.
**CLINICAL TECHNICIAN POOL GUIDELINES:**
- Jump into the multidisciplinary care team and partner with the Nurse Manager of each assigned unit to deliver outstanding hemodialysis patient care that makes a real impact!
- Love variety? You'll get it! Your scheduling, evaluations, and professional development are managed by our program manager in collaboration with the Head Nurse and unit leadership—no two days are exactly alike.
- Embrace the flexibility and keep things fresh! Your assignments will vary by unit and duration based on program needs, so you'll constantly be growing and learning in new environments.
- Typically, you'll be assigned to a unit for a minimum of two (2) weeks and a maximum of six (6) consecutive weeks—the perfect sweet spot between building strong relationships and exploring new challenges!
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent required.
- Nursing Assistant (NA), Medical Assistant (MA), or other healthcare experience preferred.
- Must successfully complete the Greenfield Health Systems dialysis training program, as a condition of continued employment.
