Position Overview:
The Chemical Engineer II will play a key role in advancing RASIRC’s high-purity chemical manufacturing processes, with a strong focus on scaling, optimization, and operational excellence. Building on foundational engineering experience, this role independently supports process development, high-volume manufacturing (HVM) readiness, and continuous improvement initiatives, particularly for BRUTE Hydrazine commercialization efforts.
Key Responsibilities:
Process Design & Optimization
- Lead operation, monitoring, and optimization of chemical process systems producing high-purity specialty chemicals
- Identify process inefficiencies and implement data-driven improvements
- Support advanced troubleshooting of complex chemical and mechanical systems
BRUTE Hydrazine Commercialization
- Take ownership of key portions of HVM plant readiness and scale-up activities
- Lead process validation, qualification, and transition to commercial production
- Collaborate on system design improvements and capital projects
Data Analysis & Reporting
- Analyze production and quality data to drive process improvements and yield optimization
- Develop detailed technical reports, KPIs, and performance dashboards
- Present findings and recommendations to leadership
Continuous Improvement
- Lead cross-functional initiatives focused on efficiency, cost reduction, and reliability
- Drive updates to SOPs, work instructions, and best practices
- Support Lean, Six Sigma, or similar process improvement methodologies
Safety, Quality & Compliance
- Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols involving hazardous chemicals
- Lead or participate in Hazard Reviews, PHA/HAZOP activities
- Maintain compliance with ISO and semiconductor industry standards
Maintenance & Troubleshooting
- Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for process and equipment issues
- Partner with maintenance and engineering teams to improve system reliability
Cross-Functional Leadership
- Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, R&D, and supply chain teams
- Mentor junior engineers and technicians
- Support training and knowledge transfer across teams
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering (required)
- Experience: 5–8 years of relevant industry experience (semiconductor or high-purity chemical manufacturing preferred)
- Strong understanding of chemical process design, scale-up, and optimization
- Experience working with hazardous chemicals and high-purity systems
- Familiarity with ISO-certified manufacturing environments
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and data analysis skills
- Experience with process control systems and data logging tools
- Ability to travel (~10%) as needed
- Ability to work in controlled environments while following all safety and cleanliness protocols.
- Ability to lift approximately 35 lbs.

- The salary range for this position is $85,000 to $100,000/ year depending on experience and qualifications.
