Schedule: Monday through Friday working 7AM to 4PM at Banner Desert Medical Center.

POSITION SUMMARY

This position provides expertise on highly complex system applications, working with large databases and other advanced analytical tools utilizing advanced knowledge of statistics, predictive modeling and data mining. This position proactively identifies new opportunities for the organization to improve on, using advanced scientific approaches and methods. Is the subject matter expert on highly complex system applications and leads project teams to identify and implement solutions.

CORE FUNCTIONS

1. Analyzes highly complex data and builds complex reports and/or data repositories and other presentation materials. Acts as project manager on system integrations, migration to new systems, system enhancements, including managing timelines, budgets, collaboration with IT, management of third-party providers, field training and user adoption. Supervises the daily activities and operations of non-exempt, exempt and/or technical staff. Provides training and development for staff.

2. Leads a team responsible for creating functional documentation, reviewing technical documentation, system configuration and creating training materials. Leads cross- functional teams through projects and/or issues to achieve desired results.

3. Partner across various functional areas to understand internal customer needs related to service excellence, including but not limited to data, technology and reporting needs and determine the appropriate course of action, and make recommendations in an actionable format including to senior management, to achieve desired business results.

4.Accountable for the daily performance of a unit. Makes decisions – guided by policies, procedures and own business plan – that impact the efficiency and effectiveness of own unit and other units with interrelated processes. Works within budgetary/financial objectives set by senior leadership.

5.Perform analysis of highly complex customer needs. Manages and supports the identification and research of new developments and uses of current systems and applications, as well as upgraded systems and applications to meet customer needs. Products may include, but are not limited to; online applications and complex reports.

6.Maintain optimal operation of departmental application in partnership with IT or external software vendor, as appropriate. This may include leading the implementation, maintenance, testing and/or functional design. Coordinate activities of any third party data or research vendors to manage quality and consistent reports, always looking for enhancements.

7.Keeps current on industry and regulatory/compliance issues within assigned areas. Provides system and reporting consultation on these issues to customers and Facilities senior leadership.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Must possess strong knowledge as normally obtained through the completion of a bachelor's degree in related business discipline to area assigned or computer science.

Seven to ten years people leadership experience. Five years project management experience.

Must have a level of experience as would typically be obtained in seven to ten years working with systems, as a functional "super-user" of applications in a large system Facilities Management department or similar environment, providing consultative input for application usage or design.

Understanding of facilities operations information systems such as CMMS, Space Management, Utility Management. Proficiency with MS Office suite, SharePoint, Teams, One Drive, Microsoft BI or Tableau.

Must have significant knowledge of cross functional departments in order to serve as a liaison and provide relevant guidance or leadership as well as strong project management skills. A level of experience as would typically be obtained in no less than seven years working with extremely complex data environments and/ or systems. Must demonstrate ability to lead complex projects and cross-functional teams to resolve, implement or reach consensus on issues. Advanced business or clinical knowledge and demonstrated ability to utilize technical skills to resolve organizational needs.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Seven to ten years of Enterprise Data Center experience supporting mission critical, 24x7, database architectures.

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or Information Systems preferred. Healthcare Facilities Management experience preferred.
 

Additional related education and/or experience preferred.
